Das Erlebnis

We need 50 volunteers to help with our olive harvest this year. We will have a big operation and volunteers will stay in one of 3 traditional and beautiful houses in the village of Vuno. We will work in teams and alternate between morning and noon shifts. The work is 4-5 hours a day and the rest of the time you are free to explore the beautiful beaches nearby, walk in the mountains, go to Himare or relax around the village with others.

Programmdetails

We help the old people of the village (where 50% is older than 70 years old) to make olive oil from their trees. Vuno cultivates olives for more than a thousand years but because all young people left the don't have anymore a way to do it. That's what we are doing: We want to bring the oil from Vuno back to the moderne market, that also in the next years young people will return back to their village. Hopefully they see that there are jobs and opportunity.
