Step into the heart of transformation. LaWayra is a family-run ayahuasca retreat center located in the lush mountains near Medellín, Colombia. We welcome seekers from around the world who come to connect, heal, and grow through traditional ayahuasca ceremonies guided by our Taita (shaman). To deepen our impact, we are looking for an experienced and creative Email Copywriter who shares our passion for plant medicine and the transformational journeys it facilitates.
What You’ll Do
Write, edit, and optimize engaging emails that embody La Wayra’s mission and resonate with a spiritually curious audience.
Architect a 180-day evergreen email sequence for new newsletter subscribers, weaving together onboarding, education, integration tips, personal stories, and re-engagement flows.
Design and run impactful promotional campaigns, including limited-time offers.
A/B test subject lines, headlines, and body copy to continually improve open and click rates.
Analyze campaign performance and use data to refine strategy.
Manage list hygiene, segmentation, and deliverability to ensure best-in-class engagement.
Collaborate with our team to ensure consistency across all communications.
Stay updated on industry trends in wellness, psychedelics, and ethical marketing.
Who We’re Looking For
A skilled email copywriter with proven success in crafting and optimizing campaigns.
Experienced in list management, segmentation, automations, and A/B testing.
Comfortable working in wellness, travel, or spiritual/plant medicine sectors, with an understanding of their sensitivities and ethics.
A storyteller who can connect with people on a deep, transformational level.
Proactive, data-driven, and detail-oriented.
Aktivitäten & Schichten
While email copywriting can be done remotely, we encourage volunteers to be on-site to experience the magic of LaWayra. On-site, you’ll receive:
2 free ayahuasca ceremonies per month to support your own healing
Free meals, laundry, and access to activities like cacao ceremonies, yoga, and rapé
Freedom to design your own work schedule and time off, as long as responsibilities are met
Opportunities to join the retreat flow while balancing work tasks
Regeln
LaWayra is a healing sanctuary where guests are often in delicate physical and emotional states. Volunteers must:
Show up with respect, mindfulness, and compassion
Be aware of the sensitive nature of the work and environment
Honor the privacy and process of retreat participants
This is a sacred space where presence and intention matter as much as skill.
Bonus points if you have:
Direct experience attending or working with plant medicine or psychedelic retreats.
Experience reaching international audiences.
