From the first day, I was welcomed like family (thank you Ririn & family, and the organizers Miss Ana and everyone else!). Their hospitality was unlike I've ever seen before. I got to see and experience the various initiatives of Madiun Lor(crafts, food, traditions), as well as visited every corner of the village & saw the daily life that make this place so unique. This volunteering is perfect for anyone who enjoys being in front of the camera/social media promotion. I'm grateful I could help spread the beauty of Javanese culture and of this village online.

Ririn was a wonderful host and did everything to make me feel comfortable. She also gave me rides to and from the city whenever I needed. Ana was kind and very eager to offer a full program, which is perfect for someone adventurous. However, the schedule can be quite tiring at times and was a bit too much for me. There isn't a clear structure or fixed timetable, the communication could be improved but the team is always very dedicated and tries their best. Be aware that the camera is always on and there is a language barrier. If that doesn't bother you, this is definitely a great opportunity.
