in water turtle monitoring and mangrove reforestation volunteer!

Have you ever wondered where scientific data comes from? love the ocean ?
Be a part of a groundbreaking project that aims to study feeding habits of endangered sea turtles whilst also protecting their critical habitat - the mangroves.
Each day will be different - monitoring turtle populations, working in a community recycling centre, taking biometric data from turtles, searching for mangrove seeds, and measuring mangroves trees .

Betrag: US$ 60 Pro Tag
Gebühr bezahlt für: Materialien für Freiwilligenaktivitäten und Spende an das Projekt
Beschreibung: The fee goes towards paying local accommodation providers for the cabins and meals given to volunteers. also a percentage will go as a donation to the project for purchasing materials, boat hire, and biologist salary.

Programmdetails
Volunteers can expect to work between 6 and 8 hours per day, in various tasks relevant to protecting the turtles habitat.
You will work in all weather - rain or shine.
we follow strict guidelines and protocols from the ministry of the environment, and some data collection involves tagging and taking tissue samples from turtles.
Injured turtles are treated in our onsite facility.
Mangrove reforestation can be tough, and dirty work. please come prepared!
Aktivitäten & Schichten
volunteers will work from 7.30am to 3pm, 6 days per week
some days will be spent on a boat monitoring turtles, and some days will be spent working in the mangroves.
there are also activities such as beach cleaning, recycling, and light cleaning / maintenance
Regeln
Volunteers must be willing to help in all activities.
There will be no alcohol or illegal substances whilst working.
