This is a unique opportunity for artists to create in harmony with nature. La Aldea is a jungle home near Cancún that values conscious living, creativity, and community. We’re inviting a volunteer to help paint a large botanical mural on our house walls, inspired by the lush plants that surround us.

You’ll stay in a private, cozy loft and enjoy breakfast each day. The work involves 5 hours of painting per day, 4 days a week. The space is peaceful and remote, ideal for creative flow. You’ll have time to rest, explore, and connect with the energy of the jungle.

We welcome responsible, independent artists who are inspired by nature and open to living simply in a tropical environment.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

As a mural painting volunteer at La Aldea, your main focus will be creating a large, plant-themed mural on our exterior walls. This is a creative role, but also requires commitment and attention to detail.

Tasks include:
• Designing and sketching the mural concept (based on local flora or jungle inspiration)
• Prepping the wall surface (cleaning, possibly base paint)
• Painting the mural using outdoor-appropriate materials
• Keeping your workspace clean and organized

You’ll be painting 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule. You can choose how to divide your hours over the week, as long as you maintain steady progress and communicate openly. The space is yours to create—just bring your vision, care, and flow.

Regeln

To keep La Aldea a peaceful and respectful space for everyone, we ask volunteers to follow these simple guidelines:
1. Respect the space – Treat the home, tools, nature, and shared areas with care.
2. Be responsible – Complete your agreed tasks and hours with honesty and initiative.
3. Clean up after yourself – Keep your personal and shared spaces tidy.
4. Quiet hours – Please respect quiet time after 10 PM to maintain a calm atmosphere.
5. No uninvited guests – Visitors must be approved in advance.
6. Open communication – If anything comes up, talk to us. We’re flexible, but transparency matters.
7. Substances – This is not a party place. Responsible use of alcohol is allowed, but no drugs are permitted.
8. Sustainable mindset – Avoid waste, recycle when possible, and help us protect the natural surroundings.
9. Security deposit – A refundable deposit is requested in case of damages (returned at the end of the stay if all is well).
