I had a wonderful experience in the shelter. It's a very remote place from the city, but you can enjoy the camp and do activities with the other volunteers. The staff was very welcoming. I recommend coming here to experience the jungle.

I had a wonderful experience volunteering here! The team was super nice, I made great friends, connected with nature, saw lots of animals, and the food was DELICIOUS! The project is meaningful and not only about turtles. During my stay, there were no turtles due to beach conditions — I knew this could happen, but some volunteers didn't and felt disappointed. It would be nice to make this clearer so people come with the right expectations, because the experience is still amazing even without turtles!

I had a great time at the shelter Reserve! It is such a beautiful and tranquil place, exactly what I wanted and needed. You can spend days observing nature around you, including looking for sloths, listening to the sound of monkeys and watching them jump from one tree to another or be mesmerized by the size of crabs in the jungle! It is truly an inspirational place and Robbie is a great manager, always happy to help and share his knowledge about the place. I met so many wonderful people and had a blast contributing to the local community as well as enjoying the tranquility of the place.

I had a wonderful time leading my group trip at the shelter! It was so eye-opening to learn about all the environmental damages this are has faced in the last year. The food was delicious and the people were wonderful!

I recently hosted an Epic Trip at the shelter! The camp has a very homey vibe and throughout your time you will have the opportunity to create a true impact. Robi, the coordinator at camp, is extremely knowledgeable and helps everyone connect with nature while learning more about the environment. You will, without a doubt, leave with knowledge and memorable experiences. Just keep in mind, that the turtles are on their own time, and whether they arrive during your stay cannot be controlled :)

This was the best trip I have probably ever had. The food is amazing, the activities are easy and fun, then there are some ones that cost money if you choose which are also fun. There may or may not be turtles though, it just depends on the weather because of the erosion.

The volunteer experience with Tortugas de the shelter was magical. I connected with nature, learned about the role of turtles in our ecosystems and helped the locals cleaning the beach and the jungle. The camp itself was beautiful, and the vegetarian meals were delicious. The only activity that was not included as I expected were yoga lessons every day and even if I was lucky enough to witness turtle eggs hatching, I realized that this is not common. Overall, it was a beautiful experience that taught me a lot, I feel really grateful and I would totally recommend it! Thank you so much for having us
