My stay at the island was quite different from what I expected from reading the worldpackers description. It is not an ecological reserve but a tourist resort! I did not work in any sustainable gardening or maintenance but was on bistro shifts. The shifts and hours were not communicated and often changed last minute. There is an app where workers can sign in to see the schedule however I was not introduced to this app and therefore had to ask others in which shifts my name was written down which led to miscommunication. The food provided was from low quality. I met nice people though
