Help out in our Calgary home just 45 minutes from the Rockies! We’re looking for a friendly volunteer to walk and care for our large dog (if he lets you), clean the house, yard work, and help prepare dinner 5 days a week. We love exploring and hope to find someone to join us on mountain adventures. Enjoy a private space in our house and plenty of time to explore!

Gartenarbeit: Hilf beim Pflanzenanbau und der Gartenpflege

Haustierbetreuung: Betreuung und Pflege von Haustieren.

Hauswirtschaft: Hilfe beim Wechseln der Bettwäsche und allgemeiner Hauswirtschaft.

Kochen: Wähle das Menü, suche Zutaten aus und koche köstliche Gerichte.

Abholung: Wir holen dich bei deiner Ankunft ab und bringen dich zu unserem Grundstück.

Nutze unsere ausgestattete Küche: Nutze gerne unsere Küche und bereite dein eigenes leckeres Essen zu.

Programmdetails

Volunteer Agreement: Tasks & Expectations
Welcome! We’re so glad to host you in our Calgary home. To help ensure a positive and respectful experience for everyone, here’s an outline of the tasks involved and what we ask in return. We hope this sets the stage for open communication and a great time together!

Weekly Volunteer Commitment
* Approx. 2-3 hours per day, 5 days a week
* Flexible schedule, discussed and agreed upon together
* 2 days off per week for personal time and travel

Space
*Basement area with your own queen bed, linens provided, bedside table, TV with Chromecast, couch, table and chairs for working
*Bathroom upstairs, 90% private - it's our main bathroom so guest use it
*Laundry in house
*Shared kitchen and backyard

Meal Preparation
*Prepare dinner 5 days a week (healthy meals, groceries provided) - no food restrictions
* Share cleanup after meals
* Feel free to contribute your own recipes!

Housekeeping & Shared Spaces
* Keep kitchen and bathroom clean and tidy
* House cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, wiping counters, mopping floors)
* Occasional help with laundry (folding, switching loads)
* Keep your own areas tidy and clean

Outdoor Work
* Weekly lawn mowing
* Watering plants and weeding garden beds
* General help with outdoor upkeep

Pet Care Responsibilities
* Daily walks with our large dog if he lets you (min 30 minutes)
* Feeding (if needed during our absence)
* Occasional dog-sitting when we’re away (to be arranged in advance)
* Ensure the dog is safe, happy, and loved

Lifestyle & Expectations
* We are respectful, active and love spending time in nature
* We’re looking for someone friendly, independent, and reliable
* We love to explore and hope you’ll join us on mountain hikes and local adventures

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Usually Monday to Friday - Weekends off to explore but we are flexible
We have lots of outdoor / camping gear we'd be happy to share
We have fast internet, streaming TV, a beautiful backyard, we are close to public transit and 45 minutes to the mountains!
