We had the greatest time volunteering here. The host was welcoming, kind, and always flexible. The tasks were clear and fair, and we also had plenty of time to explore the area. We learned a lot, met amazing people, and felt at home from day one. We would definitely recommend this place to future volunteers!

I'll always remember my time here. It was an amazing experience. I made good friends and got to travel around Sligo county. Mathieu is very flexible and welcoming.

I had the best time here helping the community! Mathieu and his family were amazing and made me feel super welcome! Mathieu is so friendly and kind and if you have any issues he will listen and do his best to help resolve them. He gave me and the other volunteers plenty of recommendations and would give us rides when he was available. The hours are set but also flexible. If you want an extra day off to go explore a different area that's totally possible! I was able to practice my French a bit and loved being in beautiful nature. I learned so much and would definitely return!

The experience was positive. Mathieu is a nice person and I liked his project, the working hours were respected and flexible, and I also had the opportunity to meet friendly people which made my stay more fun. You have a lot of free time but the house is quite isolated and the nearest bus stop is a 25-minute walk away, and the bus wasn't very frequent. When I was there, only two bikes were available. The mobile house was comfortable enough, even though the cleanliness and the beds could be improved. We had some problems with the water pressure, and sometimes taking a shower was difficult.

My experience with Mathieu was ok, I think there are many things that could be improved. The house is not so bad but a bit neglected. The hot water doesn't work properly, sometimes there's no water at all, and the place is generally quite dirty. I really recommend investing in beds and pillows because they are uncomfortable, we often woke up with back and neck pain. It's a shame because the project is interesting but not so well organized.

The project is innovative, educational, Mathieu is easy going and respects the agreement. The accommodation is not spacious, it is hard to take a shower and dry the clothes, humidity makes it prone to mould. The bus station is a 25 minutes walk, so biking is a better option, therefore, they should be in better condition. The work is not too hard, working hours are flexible enough to visit other places. Mathieu weekly buys food you order. Overall we enjoyed our stay, people you meet make it better. Mathieu's family is there to help in need.

It's a beatiful location to stay and see the nature, though it's a bit hard to get around without a car as the bus station to reach town is far away. Mathieu is nice and fair and the work can be interesting and educational, you can learn about the community building and it's dirty work, think about bringing work clothes! We stayed in a mobile house which is very tiny with narrow hallway and rooms, so it's a bit uncomfortable if you're tall and when there is six people, but cozy. We had some problems with hot water, sometimes there was none and it was frustrating. Mathieu respected the food deal.
