My wife and I had the best two weeks staying at the Hacienda with Luis. We were made to feel very welcome (especially as an LGBT couple). We loved the dogs, having seen the life so many stray dogs have it was amazing to see what a great life they can have at the shelter. Our work was varied, we learnt new skills like chopping wood with an axe. We were staying during a busy time so we made lots of new friends who we could spend our free time with. We loved the parties, a work hard play hard experience really suited us. We fully recommend this placement! :)

Es una experiencia increíble para quienes realmente aman a los perros, fue uno de mis voluntariados favoritos por eso mismo. El trabajo en general es rela, Luis es flexible con los días de descanso, también compartes con personas de otros países y al menos una vez por semana hay karaoke que termina en fiesta para los que quieren jajajajaja la comida vegetariana en leña es rica. La hacienda es gigante y hay muchos espacios para conectar con la naturaleza, hacer ejercicio, leer o lo que uno quiera siempre acompañado de perritos lindos. Recomiendo está experiencia un montón.

Se respira mucho amor y energía en la Hacienda, es un paraíso perruno en medio de las montañas peruanas. Si amas a los perritos como yo, será de tus mejores experiencias de voluntario, no existe un amor más puro que el de los cachorros. The Hacienda is like a home away from home!! This place is truly such a special experience and I highly recommend staying at least 2 weeks. By the end of your stay, you will leave with a community of like-minded people who love to travel and take care of animals + a huge appreciation for the local culture in the small towns around Cusco. In addition to the work ((which varies day to day & Luis is open to ideas!)) you can go on insane hikes like Rainbow Mountain & 7 Lagunas with other volunteers. Gracias for your hospitality Luis and for everything you do for the volunteers & the dogs. ❤️

La hacienda fue un lugar hermoso donde pude compartir con personas increibles. Poder aprender como funcionan espacios asi, y dar un granito de arena para hacer de la vida de los perrritos rescatados mucho mejor, llena el corazón. Cada perrito en la Hacienda tiene personas que lo cuidan y lo quieren, espero que sigan en su gran labor por estas criaturas <3

Lugar muito bom, é bem rústico, para quem quer realmente se conectar com a natureza, a energia é incrível, os cachorros são incríveis. Luís super gente boa. Indico fazer voluntariado na Hacienda, experiência excelente. Pretendo voltar lá um dia.

Estuve dos semanas en la hacienda y fue un descanso de la vida! Las tareas son fáciles y accesibles para todo el mundo. Luis se adapta a ti y a todo lo que necesites, y la gente del voluntariado es genial🥰 También hicimos algunas excursiones desde la hacienda y estuvo muy bien. Lo recomiendo 🩷

I absolutely loved this farm and had an incredible time there. Luis was really chill, nice and helpful throughout my stay. The other volunteers were all amazing people, and the farm itself was beautiful. The dogs were all lovely and cute, especially a small white dog named Perlita 🥰 We cooked for ourselves over a fire stove, which was great. There was a well-equipped music room with electric guitar, drum set, and big speakers, plus a cozy movie room. The accommodations were lovely too—I had the best sleep in years! This was truly one of the best experiences of my entire trip.

We had a great experience at the eco village, we made a lot of friends and learned valuable things. Luis is a great host and i would recommend this place for anyone who loves dogs!
