My experience in Tara was incredible, the people are very friendly, the jobs are varied, the place is large and surrounded by nature, I loved working in the cafe and sharing with different volunteers, I learned about meditation, I highly recommend this place.

My experience at TARA was amazing! This was my first volunteer and I couldn't have chosen a better place! People are so kind, it's a peaceful and quiet space. I joined some meditation classes and they were very nice, specially the lunch time ones. the Center is in the middle of trees and nature to enjoy, the accommodations are comfortable and clean. Dorms are separated: female and male, but bathrooms are shared, but they're always clean. Food at lunch and supper is delicious and more than enough. It's easy to get there from Derby bus station, just a 20 min ride in the Villager.

The time I spent at Tara was amazing. From the moment I arrived until the last day I was very well received, all the employees, the people who live there, the monks and nuns, everyone is very kind and friendly. You are free to join the meditation sessions and courses as well. Working hours are always respected and the food is always very delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone who can have the experience at Tara. ❤️

Me and my partner had a Wonderfull experience during our stay. We felt part of the Center family. Being able to attend to the meditation classes is such a big plus and made us feel reinvigorated every time we left the meditation room. Food is really good and abundant. The shared dorm is comfortable and there are many bathrooms available to the volunteers. The bathrooms are cleaned daily, which is definitely a plus for us. The management team is very sweet, Sam and his family are down to earth and know how to lead the operation. We were very welcomed by Ling and Paul as well! :)

Being in a place like Tara was absolutely magnificent, the people who reside, the other volunteers and all the visitors are actually people full of a different energy, I feel really grateful to have had my first experience as a volunteer in this place, you really feel in a more conscious and calm community, the place fulfilled all my expectations and exceeded them; I think it was also due to the other volunteers who shared this experience with me. I will always remember them with much love, thank you for everything Ling, Tempa, Fran, Donna, Paul, Sam

I really enjoyed my time at Tara! the Center was very relaxing, and the grounds were beautiful and spacious. The people were all so lovely and that also made the work more enjoyable! I mostly found the work light and easy and I always really enjoyed the food! The nearest town is a short walk away, which has a few pubs and a small shop. From here you can also get buses to nearby towns which was fun on days off. However I found I was more than happy to just stay and relax in the Center. I am so glad I decided to visit here. Thank you again!

Mi estadia en tara fue hermosa!! todos fueron muy atentos y amables. se respetan las horas acordadas de trabajo, con pausas para asistir a meditaciones, almorzar o simplemente descansar. las comidas riquisimas. la casa es gigante al igual que el patio, lleno de árboles, solo se escuchan pájaros. muy buena onda entre los voluntari@s, conocí gente de muy diversos lugares. volvería de nuevo :)
