30 Stunden Hilfe pro Woche

Bauen & Reparieren: Hilf bei verschiedenen Reparatur- oder Bauarbeiten.

Kinderbetreuung: Betreuung von Kindern, mit ihnen spielen und Zeit verbringen.

Sozialarbeit: Hilfe bei Freiwilligenarbeit in lokalen Projekten und Gemeinschaften.

Sprachunterricht: Unterrichte eine Sprache für den Host, Gäste oder lokale Gemeinschaften.

Zusätzliche Gebühr erforderlich

Betrag: € 50 Pro Tag

Gebühr bezahlt für: Vorteile für Reisende, Materialien für Freiwilligenaktivitäten und Spende an das Projekt

Beschreibung: Volunteers contribute €50 per day to cover expenses on food (3 meals daily), accommodation, in-country & project orientation, visa support document, pre-departure information pack, airport pickup, donation to project, certificate upon project completion, reference letter upon request, 24/7 in-country supervision & support, utility bills, tax, administrative support, sim card for internet and calls.

Since inception 2018, SMWEF has been offering a safe, affordable, unique and meaningful high school volunteering abroad programs in Ghana. On our high school program, students stay with a host family to enable to enable them to immerse in the local culture, understand social issues, volunteer in a well-designed and meaningful volunteer community development project, and the opportunity to explore the beautiful tourists in the country.

High school volunteer abroad programs is designed to help students from across the world to immerse into in a new culture, assist the unprivileged and empower communities, share their love and passion for humanity and take home an unforgettable memory.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Typical day

Volunteers are likely to work for 6 hours with flexibility. A typical day goes like this:
7:00am - 7:30am Breakfast
7:45am walk or ride to placement
8:00am Instructions on assignment for the day
8:30am Volunteer work begins
12:00Pm Lunch/Snack break/Rest
1:00pm Volunteer work resume
3:00pm Closing (Volunteers have the option to continue based on the need)
5:30pm - 6:00pm Dinner
Evenings Time to socialize with host family to know the culture, traditions etc.

Free Time activities

Volunteers have the weekend to explore the 16 regions of Ghana. Each region has its unique culture and tourists' sites. Volunteers are advice to read more about Ghana's tourist sites to help them a fair idea of where their interest will be.
We help volunteers to choose tourist sites and give advice on safety check, accommodation and recommend tour guide if the need be. There is forts and castles, monkey sanctuary, mole safari ride, waterfalls, open street market, museum etc. that volunteers can visit as well as local festivals like Bakatue, Akomase, Homowo, Aboakyere, Chalewote festival etc.

During the weekdays too, volunteers can go to the shopping, market centers or relax at the beach after volunteer duties ends.
