Best volunteering position I could ever imagine.. Host Youssef is a great great host and makes you feel very welcome .. the whole place has family vibes .. the tasks are really easy and the location is perfect … i can only recommend this volunteering experience🫶🏽

I enjoyed my stay at Magrid the surf camp, but the place is quite chaotic. Youssef is friendly, yet not very organized, so it's not ideal if you need a clear schedule. We were also supposed to have a washing machine, but there wasn't one. On the bright side, the atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and volunteers get free surf sessions and activities, which was a huge plus. If you're flexible and don't mind some disorganization, you'll have a good time here.

I didn't get breakfast everyday, only on days with group trips. So food wasn't always provided. The laundry machine was broken so got to a point where I had to pay for my own laundry. The hostel was dirty for the first 10 days. I was told I would be taken to surf for 10 days and it never happened. Understandably there were no guests but I was never informed when the staff were going. The organisation wasn't the best, we would get updates for the upcoming day after 1am. Unable to answer due to being asleep. Tamraght is beautiful tho :)

It was a great experience! Youseff & the team does treat you as a part of the family and always there if you need any help. The only thing that confused me in the beginning was that, since I came at the low season (summer), there was not so much to do with initial agreed tasks, so mostly of my work was related to cleaning & changing sheets, which could be communicated better beforehand. Besides that, great vibes and chill atmosphere

I stayed at the place April/May, which is probably the “worst” season for surfing and low season, which probably impacted the lack of activities the place was supposed to offer. But nobody really mentioned that this could be a bit different in different seasons. Communication could be a thing to work on and the place could be more organized. But I believe if you go in high season, you will have fun! In the end we were able to find a compromise which fit both sides. :)

I was there to open the hostel, the house is very nice and the host very nice. There wasn't much to do at the beginning, so I can't really say anything about the tasks. The communication with the host could really be worked on and I would have liked to be taken a little more.
