I had the most fun at the hostel. Work is not that hard and they put me on morning shifts which I asked for, which was great! Making coffees, serving breakfast, talking to the guests. Had some lovely volunteers to work with which made the experience even better. Only thing that could be improved is that the amount of hours doesn't correspond with what is described on Worldpackers. Also, there was a mouse in our room and they didn't remove it until about a week and asking 5 times later. Thanks for the fun experience nonetheless! Waking up at the beach everyday was amazing.

I was lucky enough to work alongside the most amazing people, and meet the lovely travellers staying at the hostel. Different from the other hostels on Long set beach, which are larger, busier, more commercial, YellowSun was such a great place to chill and you knew everyone who was staying, we were a family volunteers and guests alike. The family who run the hostel were so lovely, the best food was provided and the little girls were always dancing with us. I would just be prepared for the accommodation, there was no AC and I was eaten alive by mosquitos, it's very basic.

Best Volunteering experience ever! I met soo many great people and had a really great time there. The work is very chill and you always work with other volunteers, so the work is always fun. Would really recommend it:)!

I had the best time here! It's my first time in the hostel and I loved every scond of it. Seth and the ladies in the kitchen is super nice and lovely. The job is very chill and the atmosphere is super. I will miss them dearly! I will come back here again to visit in the future. Thank you everyone for treating me like a family.

Loved our little volunteer n staff family at the hostel! the place is nestled at the best spot in the island - it's calm, away from the craziness of the pier (but also a 5 min walk to there), and close to nest for all the parties. the food is delicious, the pets are adorable and the whole team is super friendly and loving. can't think of a better place to volunteer at on the island!

I could not recommend volunteering at the hostel more highly! This was my first volunteer experience and it has set an incredibly high standard. Seth and Johanny are so welcoming and I felt like part of the team from the first day. Hours are fair and shifts are sorted between volunteers to accommodate your plans for the day. There is flexibility to ensure you have time to enjoy the island.

I really enjoy my time in the hostel. It was a great experience and so nice to meet everyone on the team. I really recommend this Volonteering, especially if you like to be surrounded people or to party. The beach is also stunning and the hostel super chill.

My time at the hostel and working with Jonny, Conner, Seth and all the other volunteers was an unforgettable experience. We were well taken care of with 2 meals provided and an easy schedule. Even when some of us had personal trouble we were given support. This was the perfect place to be in a chill, paradise like environment, that gives you the opportunity to explore the hostel. Also some wild parties. So if you can handle your drink I think there's a good balance at the hostel. I'm extremely grateful to have worked here and with the boys. Thank you for everything

My two week stay at the hostel was mostly positive!! Working behind the bar was fun and really easy. The other volunteers were really lovely and at least two people worked at a time. The shifts are quite long but you are very flexible in choosing a shift that is good for you. The food was amazing! Veggie options and mostly big portions:) The volunteers sleep in a wooden hut with fan and mosquito net, which I really didn't mind :) Critique: I didn't really feel an exchange/good communication with the owner, sometimes weird comments about doing something wrong etc made me feel unwelcomed!
