This was my first time working as a volunteer and it was the best experience in my whole life. I've met the most awesome people and already felt at home on the first day. Everyone is suuuper welcoming and friendly and wholesome. The work was very easy and the chosing hours system is great. Working hours were better then I expected and everyone was very helpful and kind. The Management Team is also absolutely amazing and it felt like living in a big great family. I would absolutely recommend this beautiful hostel in the middle of Edinburgh's old town and I hope I can come back soon :)

A pesar del tiempo que estuve la verdad la experiencia de este hostal es lo mejor🤩. Las tareas son muy fácil y tienes tiempo libre de sobra para conocer Edimburgo y sus alrededores, desde el día uno me sentí bienvenida por el staff, todos siempre están con la mejor disposición de ayudarte🙌🏼 y me gusta que todos los días hay juegos o actividades y así conoces más personas, súper recomendado!

This was my first time volunteering at a hostel, & I would absolutely do it all again. The management and allocation of each daily task was clear and thorough. All volunteers were happy to help one another with daily jobs as well as learning new tasks. The accommodation is in a prime location in the Old town of Edinburgh. Having the opportunity to participate in weekly hostel events was a great way to make connections with travellers from far and wide. I highly recommend HSH to anyone looking to experience a new pace of travel & to embrace your authentic self.

My experience here was everything I could have asked for when volunteering at a hostel! The work & accommodation were exactly as expected and the other volunteers/staff were so welcoming from the moment I walked in the door. I only wish I could have stayed longer!!

This was my first experience with Worldpackers and I loved every second of it. The staff and other volunteers at the hostel really made me feel like part of the family. the hostel felt truly like a home, it was so cozy and also a lot of fun. The work was good, not too hard and I was left with a lot of time to explore Edinburgh, see other places in Scotland or just stay in and rest. Overall an amazing place to volunteer at :)

The experience was wonderful! With a relaxing atmosphere and great accommodations, it was a pleasure to volunteer at the hostel. There, I had the opportunity to meet guests and volunteers from many countries, which helped me improve my English and social skills. As for the work shifts, scheduling was seamless as it was done online, with a rotating choice system, offering options for various hours. Overall, I do recommend it (:

The hostel is a nice place to volunteer and enjoy Edinburgh and Scotland. The team is very welcoming and the tasks are fair. All the staff are very friendly, especially Miguel, the manager, a great person. I recommend HSH to volunteer!

What can I say! I've never felt more at home. Dara and Miguel are the coolest managers ever! I'm extremely thankful to be given the chance to have collaborated in this hostel. From day 1 they clearly showed me what and how to do the tasks assigned. I also loved all the benefits for being a volunteer which made my first time volunteering a bliss. I have never had as much fun and made such a numerous family like I did here. I loved meeting people from all over the world with lots of crazy stories and amazing personalities. Truly an amazing experience! love you all!
