We expect our Worldpackers to bring enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to engage in a meaningful cultural exchange. Specifically, we would like your help in teaching German, as this will allow us to enhance our language skills and better connect with international guests. Beyond language lessons, we appreciate individuals who are respectful, open-minded, and eager to immerse themselves in our family environment and the local culture of Jaisalmer.
In return, we offer you a warm and authentic experience. You’ll have a comfortable place to stay in one of our family-owned hotels and enjoy three freshly prepared meals daily. As your hosts, we will guide you through the vibrant city of Jaisalmer, sharing its rich history, iconic landmarks, and hidden gems from a local’s perspective. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to visit our serene desert farm and join us on camel safaris for a unique adventure in the golden sands.
Our goal is to create an environment where you feel at home while building a mutually enriching relationship. Together, we’ll explore the essence of Jaisalmer, blending work, learning, and unforgettable memories.

Here’s a detailed outline of the daily activities and shifts for this position:
Daily Activities Checklist:
Language Teaching (German):
Conduct interactive and engaging German lessons for 2-3 hours daily.
Focus on conversational skills, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.
Provide practical exercises or activities to make learning enjoyable and effective.
Cultural Exchange:
Share insights about your country, traditions, and experiences to enhance cultural understanding.
Participate in family activities or local events to foster a deeper connection.
Light Hospitality Assistance (Optional):
If you’re open to it, help with simple tasks like interacting with guests, providing travel tips, or organizing small events.
Shifts:
Morning: Typically starts around 9:00 AM with German lessons, lasting until lunchtime.
Afternoon: Time for exploring Jaisalmer or participating in planned cultural activities.
Evening: Flexible hours for light tasks, socializing, or preparing for the next day’s lesson.
We aim to create a balanced schedule, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the city, relax, and make the most of your stay.
