Feeling Spontaneous? It is the last days suummer at Starr Lake Dark Sky Oasis! Projects are cleaning, packing things up for fall and winter, cutting trails, building structures, gardening & art projects & more.
We try to find jobs to suit your talents Solo & Team work- lots fun, you'll be included in family life. We'll mostly be at Starry Lake with maybe a visit to Toronto. There will be work time and free time to explore and relax.

22 Stunden Hilfe pro Woche
Malen & Dekorieren: Hilfe beim Streichen oder Dekorieren der Einrichtung.
Reinigung: Hilfe bei der Reinigung von Küche, Schlafzimmern, Badezimmern und Gemeinschaftsbereichen.
Bauen & Reparieren: Hilf bei verschiedenen Reparatur- oder Bauarbeiten.
Gartenarbeit: Hilf beim Pflanzenanbau und der Gartenpflege
Was Sie bekommen
3 freie Tage pro Woche
Privatzimmer: Du bekommst ein Bett in einem privaten Zimmer. Mit anderen Worten, ein Zimmer nur für dich.
Gemeinschaftszimmer: Du bekommst ein Bett in einem Gemeinschaftszimmer, was bedeutet, dass du dir den Raum mit anderen Reisenden teilst.
Camping: Du wirst in einem Zelt auf einem Campingplatz schlafen.
Frühstück: Du hast Anspruch auf ein kostenloses Frühstück an jedem Tag deines Aufenthalts.
Mittagessen: Du hast Anspruch auf ein kostenloses Mittagessen an jedem Tag deines Aufenthalts.
Abendessen: Du hast Anspruch auf ein kostenloses Abendessen an jedem Tag deines Aufenthalts.
Kostenlose Wäsche: Du kannst unseren Waschraum frei nutzen.
Abholung: Wir holen dich bei deiner Ankunft ab und bringen dich zu unserem Grundstück.

We have officially taken on too many projects! We have a busy family home in downtown Toronto that needs loads of reaping, organizing, and refining, AND a 200 acre Eco Retreat property 3hrs out of the city in gorgeous Canadian Wilderness called Starry Lake Dark Sky Oasis that is in constant development- physically and in the visionary sense.
It is summer so time to lean into a tonne of outdoor projects at Starry Lake! I am hoping we can get a small team of willing helpers to head up there and go wild in the woods! Obviously if we have helpers we will try to make it fun and interesting for you and to see if we can have you doing projects that inspire you most. Some stuff is more "Labour" and other tasks are more artistic or engineering inclined (If you have building skiss that is a huge bonus! Or gardening skills, or even tech skills! ( Maybe you notice we don't have a web site yet? but we do have facebook where there are lots of pictures) The next few weeks will be more blanced towards Starry Lake but since we do have a city house too there is a possiblity of a few days in Toronto to experience both what the bustling city offers.
Aktivitäten & Schichten
While at Starry Lake accomodations vary depending who is there. You might slay in one of our off grid cabins or at the main house if no guests are there, or possibly one of our awesome glamping tents. Jobs may include clearing new spots on the waterfront for better swimming, cleaning to prepare for guests or cutting trails, working on the gardens, giving some energy and love to our wood chip compost hot water heater project (which is the coolest thing most people have never heard of) building platforms for future glamping sites, art projects like painting signs for trails etc. Also when there are guests renting at Starry Lake we need to be ready to "flip" the place- meaning cleaning between renters so that it is shining and ready for our next visitors.
In September, there will be different jobs when James is the leader at Starry Lake and super active. Things like- finishing the interior of our glamping trailer walls, possibly setting up a new storage shed.. not difficult stuff but requiring a hammer and nails and good common sense.
If and when we are in Toronto City tasks will include general cleaning and organizing and lots of assistance in 'becoming more minimalist' which is somewhat comical since we ( I?) tend to collect projects and 'stuff for projects’. We need to toss lots of unused things, put in more systems, build some closets and create more order in this house so that it doesn’t feel like constant chaos. 😊
Also, maybe you have skills making wordpress websites? Your tech skills might also be a dream come true since we really do have too many things on the list including building a starry lake website etc...
Another fun thing is... we just got a new puppy! So depending where you are there will be potentially loads of puppy love and chances to play!
Regeln
Something to know about us is that this home is a drug free space. If you are coming to Canada for the legal weed, we aren’t a good match. No problem with a glass of wine, beer or spirits in moderation, but the vibe here is much more ‘detox’ than ‘intox’. 😊
You will be staying with us in our home. There is no smoking in the house.
