Hello!

We are so excited you are thinking about traveling to India! My husband and I are from America, teaching English to the neighborhood boys. You would be responsible for teaching two English classes, each would be for two hours long. A younger boys class (8-13) and an older boys class (14-20). They are all beginner level English learners. Their native language is Hindi.

Programmdetails

We teach out of our home, which is where you will be living also. We have all the materials you will need and have access to get more if needed. We do have guided lessons but you are not limited to them when you are teaching. We would like you to be able to take ownership in your teaching. You do not have to have a background in teaching. We do ask that you are not afraid of public speaking and have some classroom management skills.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Your first class of the day will begin at 12PM, which will consist of younger boys. The first hour will be focused on fluency and vocabulary. The second hour will be focused on skill development, which will involve a game or a hands on activity. You will then be given a two hour lunch break from 2PM-4PM. The next class of older boys will begin at 4PM. The same schedule as the younger boys.

Regeln

Absolutely no alcohol, drugs, or tobacco allowed inside the house.
Not allowed inside house if intoxicated.
Absolutely no overnight guests. Guest need to leave by 11PM.
Absolutely no cursing.
Not allowed to give social media/phone number out to the students unless approved.
