Tanzania Youth Development Organization (TYDO) in Bukoba empowers youth through sports, skills, and livelihood programs. Volunteers support coaching, event organization, talent scouting, and community outreach. They are expected to be proactive and respectful. TYDO offers orientation and fosters cultural exchange while promoting youth development and social inclusion.

Programmdetails

Volunteer Opportunity at TYDO – Join Us for Meaningful Impact!
We warmly welcome volunteers for a minimum of one month, with the option to renew, to support our diverse projects at Tanzania Youth Development Organization (TYDO). Volunteers will assist in activities such as:

Sports coaching and soccer-related programs

Educational support and community outreach

Gardening and environmental care

Building and repairing our new volunteer hostels (currently under construction)

The office is just 2 km from the training ground, easily accessible by a pleasant walk.

Your volunteer accommodation is also 2 km from the office, offering a comfortable and safe living environment.

As a TYDO volunteer, you will have the exciting opportunity to join safari tours to National Parks, visit waterfalls, and go hiking during your free time—offering a perfect blend of work, adventure, and cultural immersion.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

if you wish [not necessary] to help the fasts we have hurry in morning which are cows, chickens and green vegetable garden this is for the morning time where you will gain friendly with the animals and enjoy morning sunshine at our green gardening
During morning hours a volunteer will be in the office preparing coaching in the afternoon and teaching at the community schools which we are partner with.

Morning hours will be from 9:00am to 12:00 noon.
Lunch time will be from 12:00 to 14;00pm.
afternoon hours will from 15:00pm to 17:00pm.

as our programs will be the Volunteer will join the family visiting teams.
On weekends our volunteers will have time to explore rural areas and enjoy moments by climbing, visiting historical sites, swimming, Visit National parks, Hiking mountains, Families visit, forest Walk, waterfalls and swimming-walk on white sand of Lake Victoria.

Regeln

Dear World-packers must have traveling documents during your trip to Tanzania.

The volunteer [s] will apply for class C Visa permit to allow him/ them to perform duty as volunteer in Tanzania or should contact me to help out some information and any attached documents before submitting your Tanzania Visa form.
