As a Lapland Art & Tourism Caretaker, you'll be the heart of our unique art tourism site in Moskosel. Your role involves maintaining the beauty and integrity of the location, guiding visitors through immersive cultural experiences, and ensuring the site is attractive, improve the location, and welcoming visitors. You'll possibly collaborate with artists, support events, and help create unforgettable memories in the serene landscapes of Lapland.

Programmdetails

As a Lapland Art & Tourism Caretaker, we expect you to bring passion and dedication to maintaining a unique art tourism site in Moskosel. Your responsibilities will include upkeep of the location, managing AirBNB or similar, guiding visitors, supporting cultural events, and ensuring the site remains a vibrant and welcoming space. We value creativity, a strong work ethic, and an appreciation for art and nature.

In return, you'll gain hands-on experience in cultural tourism. If you good carpentry skills, we may offer additional pocket money. You'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of Lapland, explore its rich nature, and develop projects to enhance visitor engagement. Your contributions will be valued and recognized. This is not just a volunteer position—it's a chance to change your life and make a lasting impact on a special location in Lapland.

Regeln

We provide accommodation and basic food coverage in exchange for your support: 5 hours of contribution per day; 2 days off per week.
“Basic food coverage” means that we provide the basic foods needed. This includes items as rice, pasta, potatoes, oats/porridge, flour, and cooking basics (oil, salt).
Additional items are not included, but supporters are welcome to buy these themselves if they wish - We have a very cozy local shop and restaurant/coffee nearby, and you’re also welcome to go to Arvidsjaur, where there are several supermarkets and stores.
Normally, the days off are weekends, but depending on artistic residencies or other projects, we may adjust them in dialogue with you. Flexibility is part of our collective process.
