The Aldeia was created in 2012 on a beautiful piece of land on the banks of the Contas River, near Itacaré, Bahia.

The project started with one family and grew quickly. By the beginning of 2016, there were over 50 people (including 15 children) living and working together at the Aldeia. The focus of the Aldeia has always been to create an open space to unite the interests of different people in a positive and harmonious coexistence. Our interests include bioconstruction, permaculture, sustainability, culture and art, and the creation of a space where everyone can live in contact with nature, feeling free to express themselves in their own way.
