Highly recommend this volunteering experience!! Everything is as advertised on the application and the team are super helpful. The tasks are mostly social, so you gain many opportunities to meet locals and travelers in a beautiful, sweet pocket of the world. Trust you will be entering an energetic and caring hostel community.

The hostel was a highlight of my travels! The staff welcomed me warmly, and the work community and vibe were fantastic. The hostel attracts charismatic, fun people—I've made lifelong connections here. It's lively and exciting, and you'll need a solid social battery (and this was low season!), but the experience is absolutely worth it. I 100% recommend!

Volunteering at the hostel was amazing!! The work was actually so fun and allows you to make friends with guests and locals. Work hours were always respected; Joana and the other staff make you feel so at home. I truly loved my time in Como and am so thankful for everything I learnt and experienced!! Would come back in a heartbeat.

¡Eternamente agradecido! Gracias a Joana por darme la bienvenida al hostel, inmediatamente te sentís como en casa con una familia que te cuida y se preocupa porque siempre estés bien. Una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida, te reís, conocés gente de todo el mundo, conectás con los locales, un ambiente social demasiado enriquecedor, salís lleno de energía positiva. Volunteering at the hostel was a very rewarding experience- the staff were so much fun to work with and the bar in the hostel created an interesting mix of locals and guests for socializing. The hours were respected and everything was as expected. I would highly recommend this volunteer experience, I think it is definitely one of the best out there!

If you enjoy meeting new people and helping to organize fun activities (don't worry – everything is explained and provided!), this is definitely the place for you. Connecting with locals and the staff is super easy – everyone is friendly and helpful :) I never had any problems with the team or the tasks. I honestly miss it so much – it was such an amazing time, full of great people, experiences, and memories I'll never forget🫶

I've been volunteering for 3 years now and this place is a gem. If you are social and not afraid to approach people and animate a group, this job is for you! The hostel is beautiful and Como is magical as well, but what makes this place so special is the staff. (Love them all) Joana is incredibly flexible and the kindest person you'll ever meet. Don't even think twice, just go. xxx

I had the best time working at the hostel and would recommend the hostel to anyone! As this was my first worldpackers experience, I didn't know what to expect but the staff made sure I was welcome and I quickly felt part of the team. The actual work was really rewarding and fun while the hostel itself has great facilities and is such a great backdrop to meet other travellers and locals. I truly have no complaints for my stay here and I cannot wait to come back and visit the friends I made in the future! Thank you the hostel you were wonderful :)

The hostel was a truly amazing and rewarding experience I will cherish for many years to come. The staff were all exceptionally nice and helpful, which made for a really easy work environment. In terms of the work itself, it's super easy and very rewarding to be forming connections and friendships with so many new and interesting people from around the world on a daily basis. The hours are also relatively flexible and Joana was able to give me two days off in a row consistently, which allowed for potential side trips. I cannot recommend this stay enough and I am truly grateful!

This was such an amazing experience! It was my first Worldpacker's experience and I'm so glad I chose to come to the hostel. Everyone was so welcoming and so kind. I immediately felt that I was apart of the OBC family.Working at the hostel was also super fun, you get to do so many cool activities and meet people from all over the world. OBC is the most social hostel I've stayed at and I'm so grateful to have met so many wonderful people. Como and the hostel are such a beautiful place and I am grateful to have been able to explore it. Highly recommend this experience !!
