Absolutely beautiful location with wonderful opportunities to explore and submerge in beautiful Cape Town! A wonderful way to become part of a community and fall in love with this country. Lisa works hard to make sure everything runs smoothly and does an excellent job at it.

My time at staying and working at the hostel was incredible and I will never forget the memories I made. The staff was welcoming, kind, and made the hostel feel like home. I met so many amazing people and other travelers at the hostel and in Cape Town and could not recommend this experience to other solo-travelers more!

I had a wonderful time at the hostel. The best aspect was the colleagues and friends I made here that I have countless memories with. The locals never hesitated to show me around a lot of the city. Cape Town is amazingly built with probably the best nature-buzzing city balance I've seen. Thanks the hostel and the team!

I had the best time at the hostel! The staff there are amazing, so friendly and welcoming and really make you feel at home. The other volunteers and the guests were all so lovely, and I got to meet some cool local people at the bar too. The vibe at the hostel was made by the people, but it would have been even better with more activities happening there. My only let down was the food available to volunteers and the lack of advertised discounts. But this did not affect how much fun I had. I didn't want to leave.

Ser voluntaria en el hostel fue una experiencia agridulce. El staff es magnífico, fue un verdadero honor compartir con ellos, sin embargo, quedé insatisfecha con lo prometido en la aplicación y lo recibido. El cuarto destinado para voluntarios carecía de comodidades como suficientes enchufes para cargar dispositivos, luces, o ventiladores. A pesar de expresar que el desayuno era insuficiente (pan con mermelada y 1 cafe o te) no se tomó en cuenta una mejora, solo podíamos comer bien cuando había bufete para los huéspedes. Se siente más como un trabajo sin paga que un voluntariado.

Hello Maria - I did explain everything thoroughly to you before you came and I am sorry that we did not live up to your expectations. The cost of your accommodation over peak season FAR outweighs what we would have paid a staff member to work 4 shifts a week. Nevertheless, you seemed to enjoy your time in Cape Town.

Thanks to their warm welcome, constant support, and the unique atmosphere here, I was able to learn so much and grow both personally and professionally. I recommend this place to anyone looking to immerse themselves in a welcoming work environment and in an amazing city. I won't hesitate to return :)
