Our time at the hostel was cut short as my sister was unwell so we left so she could get better. Boy was very respectful of this. Boys staff really made the experience for us they were so welcoming and friendly. We had limited interaction with Boy, we were very confused during our stay on what our role was and what tasks we were supposed to do. Communication and organisation needs improving as we were left with guests who needed to check out with no knowledge of the reception. As women we felt unsafe in the area and another volunteer made us uncomfortable. Accommodation was fine.

Boy and his family were very hospitable, always caring enough to share dinner together. The nearest beach is perfect for relaxing and working at the hostel gives the opportunity to get to know the whole island. Thank you very much for hosting us.

I enjoyed my stay with Boi (and Tok and Jem). It was a fun experience. Bou doesn't have a set list of chores that need to be done so you kinda have to figure it out as you go but after a few days you can see what needs to be done. Full moon was a bit more hectic and I wish Boi was a bit more clear about where to check people in (which room) and how many guests are arriving per day. We only did shift work the day before and the day of full moon, the rest we were free to explore all day and meet up at the hostel at 4pm to clean up the yard and occasionally help cooking dinner.

Great place to stay, chill days but it gets busy for the full moon ! Boy and his family are really welcoming and let you have time to explore the city ! Would highly recommend :)
