Calling happy energetic people to help us with various refurbishing tasks, with any skills you have or want - such as wall prep, painting, cleaning, decorating, jetwashing, gardening, furniture restoration etc! Our current projects are the renewal of a sweet castle cottage + our own house reno.

You get a 70m2 suite in our town-centre home: a living-dining room, bedroom, bath + patio (shared kitchen). Excellent wifi too! See profile for more.

Privatzimmer: Du bekommst ein Bett in einem privaten Zimmer. Mit anderen Worten, ein Zimmer nur für dich.

Gemeinschaftszimmer: Du bekommst ein Bett in einem Gemeinschaftszimmer, was bedeutet, dass du dir den Raum mit anderen Reisenden teilst.

Frühstück: Du hast Anspruch auf ein kostenloses Frühstück an jedem Tag deines Aufenthalts.

Kostenlose Wäsche: Du kannst unseren Waschraum frei nutzen.

Abholung: Wir holen dich bei deiner Ankunft ab und bringen dich zu unserem Grundstück.

Programmdetails

Our current projects include...
- Jetwashing and painting a roof terrace
- Cleaning, repairing & painting walls
- Redecorating - cleaning, silicone, etc.
- Restoring furniture & woodwork
- Moving rubble & furniture (within your ability)
- More advanced work for those interested such as use of a power tools
... + more tasks of a similar nature!

We also have very fast wifi & good work spaces, so if you have your own work there's plenty of time & space for focus.

We will share a kitchen, and offer a €50 stipend per week on top of the breakfast provided, to assist with grocery costs during your stay (50€ for individuals, 80€ for a couple).

We are a UK-US couple who moved here 5.5 years ago, and love meeting new people and learning new things!

Aktivitäten & Schichten

We will train you in a task, and then you can do it at your own pace. We work both with you and also you will be working independently (or with other WorldPackers), depending on the project and complexity of task.

For schedules, there is flexibility, for example, you can work a bunch of hours a few days back-to-back and then go exploring for the rest of the week, or you can do a few hours per day. Generally no early starts.

We're interested in couples or friend but solo travellers are welcome too.

We are 1 minute's walk from the town centre, which has loads of great restaurants, bars & cafes at all budgets. We are also in wine country, with 25+ wineries within 15 minutes' drive, some walkable. Supermarkets are walkable too, and a huge farmers and antiques market every Saturday!

There are easy buses to Evora and Lisbon too, so you can explore the area and Portugal as you wish. We can assist by picking you up at the local Estremoz bus station.

Regeln

We are quite flexible, but ask:
- No drug use
- No smoking inside any houses
- General respect that it's a shared house e.g. music volume, cleaning up after yourself and others, clear communication with work schedules, etc. especially in the shared kitchen
- Please follow our health & safety instructions, safety always comes first, especially when doing building work!

Re: cooking, we will provide the above stipend, and ask that as a default you make your own breakfast, lunch and dinner - plus WorldPackers and we naturally share some meals throughout the week too,´to all get to know each other and share food cultures :-)
