Join us in the picturesque village of Luz Saint Sauveur, France, at our cozy hostel. We're seeking proactive and friendly volunteers to assist with general tasks, mainly cleaning. Your role will include maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. Reinigung: Hilfe bei der Reinigung von Küche, Schlafzimmern, Badezimmern und Gemeinschaftsbereichen.

Programmdetails
The exchange will be 2.5hrs of volunteering 6 days a week which will include helping cleaning and tidying the communal areas and rooms, likely some child care with Teo (for example when I teach a yoga class), perhaps some gardening and possibly (but probably unlikely) a little DIY.
We will provide a basic breakfast (cereal, coffee, tea) and one main meal (which we will always aim to eat all together, which will probably be lunch).
You'll have access to the big communal kitchen where you can keep and prepare your meals you dont have with us.
We appreciate volunteers who share some time with us, participate in shared meal prep at times and help with things like washing up, setting the table etc. It's also important to us that you engage with Teo 🙃
The nearest airport to us is Lourdes-Tarbes, the nearest train station is Lourdes. Hitchiking is the best way to explore around here.
Aktivitäten & Schichten
OCleaning bedrooms, one private ensuite bathroom and a big sanitary block (with a special power hose so it takes only about 45mins to clean). Also hoovering and mopping floors of the corridors, kitchen and bar areas. Working times will usually be 9/10am - 11:30/12:30 we ask for a little flexibility as if we need someone to watch Teo it may be early evening.
Regeln
We are open to discussion and open minded people who are used to hosting and have had some really great times. We enjoy sharing moments out of working time with volunteers when we can and encourage you to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings - hikes and the mountains. We are at 700m altitude and hitchhiking to go on hikes works really well. We are also next to some thermal baths which are lovely to relax in just 200m from our front door (with discount). We ask volunteers to respect the spaces they live in and respect us and our little Teo. We work on trust and confidence. We ask you not to smoke inside nor when looking after Teo. We enjoy sharing wine all together but don't appreciate people being drunk beyond reason.
Please help with the food prep/setting the table/washing up of our shared meal - which we will provide.
