Foi uma das melhores experiências da minha vida, cheguei no dia 05/02 com meu avô e meus primos que vieram como hóspedes e amaram, foi muito bom ouvir dos meus primos que eles tem vontade de voltar e ficar semanas voluntariando aqui porque é exatamente o que eu senti quando me inscrevi e continuo sentindo mesmo agora indo embora. As tarefas num geral são bem tranquilas e basicamente cuidamos da louça e organização no café da manhã e jantar. Fora o fato de que me senti em casa e ganhei uma nova família, todos são incríveis, super acolhedores e vou sentir muita falta. Já pretendo voltar.

From the moment I arrived, this hostel felt like a true home away from home. A huge shoutout to Mayra, Rene, Marion, Oliver, Robert, and Trudy for their warmth and superb hospitality throughout my stay. Mayra gave me complete creative freedom, allowing me to work on my own terms, which I truly appreciated. The flexibility made the experience really enjoyable. On top of that, the activities and tours organised by the team were absolutely fantastic—well-planned, exciting, and a great way to connect with other solo traveler's.

My time at the hostel was incredible. the staff is very kind, their energy and the energy of the place is really good. being in contact with nature all the time, dealing with your own inner self is very precious. it's kind of a lazy life, precisely because it's in the middle of nature hahahahah, so you have a lot of time to think about everything inside you or develop some habit you've been looking for. the work is very chilled and fun, clearly because the staff are very kind and nice. i loved meeting them, it was one of the best times of my life. it's forever in my heart! ❤️

2 weeks at the hostel have exceeded my expectations. The place, opportunities & people I met along this experience had a tremendous impact on me. As a filmmaker, I was given the chance to create content - little did I know, it would inspire me in such a way, that I'm now starting rich initiatives to engage my audience further. The culture & natural immersion KPH offers, will feed your perspective in many ways. As I return to CT, I feel blessed with yet another powerful insight, that will feed my purpose in the long run. I had the best 3 weeks at the Hostel. It's an awesome place the Family has created. A little Oasis in Marloth the hostel. Everybody is very welcoming from the first second on. I loved the work in the hostel and the interaction with the guests. All of them are open for new ideas and you can get creative. The work is not hard, and after a short time you become friends with everybody so I always enjoyed helping with everything. The Tours that the hostel offers are a very nice bonus so you can see and explore the surrounding. Long story short I loved it and I would do it very time again.

1er jour: pas d'électricité, grosse chaleur. Equipe précédente: pas au complet, pas de cohésion des jours de repos pris à la fin, donc à mon arrivée. J'étais la seule de mon équipe à intégrer toute l'information sur 3 jours. Une cuisine désordonnée et peu hygiénique. Aucune écoute venant de Mayra alors que je lui ai dit ce qui me semblait inadéquat et ne pas convenir pour un début. Un manque d'implication des propriétaires des lieux. Des heures supplémentaires tous les jours: entre 1h30 et 1h50 de plus. Pas de communication directe, ni d'échange sur les menus. Pas de clarté ni de respect.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t meet your expectations. Regarding the electricity outage, this was due to a municipal issue and lasted about an hour. The kitchen was indeed busier during your short stay, but cleanliness was part of your role outlined before arrival. Our owners are present daily, though not always in the kitchen. Previous volunteers enjoy the environment and schedule, but we appreciate your perspective and will review areas for improvement.

I had an amazing time volunteering at the hostel, it's an experience I can recommend to everyone 😊🙏🏼The hostel is run by a family who poured so much work and love into the place, you will feel at home right away. Everyday lots of animals appear next to the pool. The tours you can go on are so fun. In the evenings everyone has dinner together and playing games after. The work is divided into shifts between the volunteers. Mayra or another volunteer will explain everything you need to know. Everything is manageable and you will have lots of free time as well. 🫶🏼

I love this experience. The place is amazing and everyone at the hostel are friends and kind, It was like to being at ok home. It helped a lot with my English and met peoples from all over the world.

I don't think I can put it into words how amazing this place and the people in it are and how grateful I am to have experienced all of it! I absolutely loved my time <3 Mayra, Rene, Marion and Oliver really make you feel at home and create an incredible atmosphere. I would recommend this to everyone searching for a place to feel home in the bush. The work is easygoing and flexible. You will see so many animals and have the time of your live! You learn a lot and especially that you can always make a plan ;) Already miss this place! <3
