Where do I even start… The time I got to spend with Umu and her family was one of the best times of my life. Umu's volunteer project is truly special — you can really feel that you're making a difference. Exploring Mombasa and the surroundings was so much easier and more special with her amazing tips and help. With her family, I found a second home and felt like a real part of it. I now have sisters on the other side of the world, and I'm endlessly grateful for this experience. Thank you so much, and I love you all — Nawapenda sana.

This month in Kenya was an experience I'll never forget. Thanks to Worldpackers, Sofia and I stayed with Umu and her wonderful family in Mombasa: kind, patient, warm, generous and welcoming, they made us feel part of their home and their daily lives. We spent our days helping in two orphanages and, the last days, the project. Playing, teaching, and sharing smiles with the children filled my heart more than words can express. The simple routines taught us gratitude, courage, and the joy of living in community. I recommend it to everyone! Asante Kenya ♥️

This was an amazing experience with Umu's family. We stayed 4 weeks. We explored Mombasa old town and were able to stay at the beach and even do scubadiving lessons. Teaching kids at the different schools is an outstanding experience. They really are adorable and loving. Staying near the coast also allowed us to go to safari on weekend. We learned so much about Kenyan culture and Mombasa culture. We also learnt about Kenyan cuisine and had some personnal lessons at home. I highly recommend to come and volunteer to Mombasa this is an experience you will never forget.

I spent a week in Mombasa at Umu's home with her family for the project experience. I went with a friend of mine and we spent a day in an orphanage with less fortunate children who gave us love and affection. Beyond that, we also had other experiences, such as getting to know the city of Mombasa. Despite the challenges of a different culture, we are grateful to have shared this life experience.

A friend of mine and I spent a week in Africa, in Mombasa, with Umu's family. We tried to contribute, even with a small donation, to help children less fortunate than ourselves. Nevertheless, we also had the opportunity to visit and share recreational activities with Umu. It was a truly powerful experience in many ways, and we hope we were able to contribute, even with a small smile. We return enriched by this experience and hope to have another one soon.
