Hi, We are starting our 4th renovation in beautiful Cassonne and need help with basic decoration and some light construction—think helping put dado rails up, etc.; no major work, much more DIY levels (unless you are super skilled and want to do other things).

The major works will be being done by builders, plumbers etc and will be pretty much finished by the time you arrive :-)

You will live at there, in your own bedroom + bathrooom

Programmdetails

We have been hosting volunteers for over six years and fully embrace the idea that we want people to get to know this beautiful part of France in return for the work provided. Carcassonne is a large town, and our house is in the centre, so there is easy access to everything. It is also a major transport hub, so you can get around very easily.

We follow a simple 5 hours of work per person per day for 5 days and 2 days off; we are flexible around the hours and time off so you can explore the area.

You will live in the house once the major works are done, have your own room and bathroom, plus a working kitchen for cooking etc. We will have wifi installed.

The renovation will be let as a Gite, so we are keen to have a good standard of work. Basic DIY skills, e.g., painting, are preferred.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Basic DIY, mainly, preparing surfaces, painting and decorating, some help with small building tasks which will not require and high skill levels.

Regeln

We have strict rules about keeping the area clean, no loud parties—it is a quiet residential area. We plan the work a week or so in advance but are flexible to your plans.
