This was my third Worldpackers experience along with my sister, and it was a great month of our travels! Carina and James were exceptional at making us feel right at home (as were the kids!), providing our own rooms, local recommendations, and facilitating time for us to engage with the family and other volunteers. You do have to get creative to keep the kids on task, but the work is definitely manageable and fulfilling. Would 100% recommend if you're seeking to learn more about local culture, connect with nature, be a part of a family unit, and meet other amazing volunteers.

My time here was so lovely and spending time with James, Carina, and the kids was very fulfilling. James is absolutely hilarious, and the family is extremely generous and loving. For the cooking role, definitely advocate for what you will need for meals, but everyone is very supportive and always willing to help! Each of the volunteers had their own room and WC which was very homey. We had plenty of time to explore outskirts of the cities and take day-trips on the weekends. They always encouraged us to get out of the house and explore, and had many places we could hike!

This was a wonderful first Worldpackers experience and I will recommend 100 times to anyone looking to live with a lovely family and learn/explore Ireland in your time. From day 1, Carina, James, and the whole crew welcomed me into their home and encouraged us all to adventure as much as we could. They told us about all the local spots, helped us get around the country, and provided a real family-like experience as a volunteer. I have a lot of love for all my memories of the past month and not only did I build great bonds with the kiddos, but I also am leaving with some awesome new friends.

I'm absolutely blown away by this family and this opportunity that seemed to have been fated. I felt so welcomed right off the bat, and fit right in with the kids. I was very lucky that I gained 2 good friend in the other volunteers that were also here, and we did loads of adventuring together. The family was so great at encouraging us to get out and explore the country, giving us all the inside tips along the way. I would 100% recommend this stay to anyone who likes nature, the countryside and wanting a place that feels like home. I'll always remember my stay here & will be forever grateful.

James and Karina are great people, I felt very welcomed from the first minute James went to pick me up. The girls are lovely. The tasks I was assigned to were reasonable and easy to do. It is a very cozy environment and it really feels like home. Thank you for everything, I can't be thankful enough with the both of you.

This was by far the best volunteering position I've ever had and probably will ever have! And it's so so much more than just volunteering. I absolutely fell in love with the 4 girls and I will never forget my time here. Carina and James are the most amazing, fun, open minded, welcoming people you can imagine and I'm beyond grateful for the time here. We got to see so so much of the country and do so many things just thanks to them. Thank you for everything I was able to learn and see during the 5 weeks. I feel so lucky. I wish you all the best and can't wait to come back!!!

My stay with the Duffy family was absolutely pleasant! I felt very welcomed and part of the family. Carina and James are two great people with lovely kids, each of them in their own way. I learned a lot here, but above all, they showed me how a strong and united family should be. The tasks and working hours are always respected and they make sure we're having a good time. I appreciate very much our time together, the movie nights, the trips on the weekends, their love and generosity. They're a great example of good human beings and all of them have a special place in my heart! ❤️

Absolutely amazing experience, I was almost too excited before leaving home to go volunteer abroad my family told me the most Dutch thing they could: don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. However what I experienced went above and beyond any of the excitement I could think of beforehand. The family is so nice and the kids are energetic and playful, be careful as they will definitely distract you from your tasks. So for any future volunteers: do the tasks when they are at school ;) . I have so much more to say about my stay and the people there but I'm running out of chars.Thanks!

James and Carina are the most lovely couple. They makes you feel right at home going above and beyond for the Worldpackers. They are so helpful and more than generous. The kids are wonderful. You will gain a lovely and very unique friendship with each of them. The working hours are respected. Overall I genuinely couldn't recommend them highly enough. I look forward to returning next year!!

Our summer at the home was fantastic. We managed to see a big part of Ireland and its culture. We had a nice and cosy room with WC for our own. We met international people with whom we had a lot of fun. The working hours where flexible. The children are lovely as they parents are. They will truly make everything they can to make from your stay there a wonderful one. They are responsible, open, flexible and caring. We got lucky to be able to spend there the summer, and I would definitely encourage other couples ( or solo travellers) to do so. Our stay there will be in our hearts forever.
