Das Erlebnis

We want to develop on a sustainable way and be part of biodiversity protection.
We live in Barra de Pacuare in Caribbean coast, between sea, jungle and river.
Our place have a garden, animals, bar, and a small grocery store. We also host.
We are surrounded by volunteering projects (sea turtles, manatees), so we meet international people.
We have a small coconut farm.
We live on a very simple and typical way, the Pura Vida way of life.

We want to develop and improve our place in order to help local economy and tourism on a sustainable way.
We need help to maintain and develop our place on the more Ecological way we can.
We also want to share our culture and love for Nature and Animals.
We sometimes need help with our coconut farm, like gardening or collecting cocos.
We help the Sea Turtle project nearby.
We need help to take care of our adorable Animals.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

We have small construction jobs.
We need help in our coconut farm.
We need help for the shop.
When we have customer visits for the bar, we need help serve and clean tables.
We want to develop our bar for locals and international volunteers.
Sometimes we have nice parties with local dances.
Every two days, you collect leaves and garbage in the garden and road.

We have 5 dogs, they must be fed and bathed.
We can do beach cleaning or help the sea turtle project nearby.

Typical day :
- breakfast at 8
- work from 9 to 12/13h
- have lunch
Most of the time afternoon is free but you could help with the shop sometimes.


During free time volunteers can do a free kayak tour, enjoy beach, cook, practice Spanish, chill ...
For additional cost, we can offer tours, sea turtle patrol, boat on the canals to see animals, fishing, tour to Tortuguerro or Parismina, jungle walk, jewelry craft class...

Regeln

Participation is 27 dollars per day. This volunteer project is a non profit, we need fees to pay food (3 meals a day), camp maintening and material.
You have to pay in advance half of the price with our paypal and the rest the day of your arrival. If you decide to leave early, no refund.
You have to respect work times.
During your free time let us know where you are and be very carefull with the sea and the jungle.
You always have to respect the others and let the place clean.
Volunteers can enter and leave on Tuesdays and Fridays. Cost is 10 000 colones (20$) for the taxi and 10 000 colones (20$) for the boat one way.
If you are at least two people you can share the taxi price and boat would be 6 000 colones (12$) one way.
You have to take the bus in San Jose to arrive in Batan. The best way is a morning bus from San Jose to Siquirres and then to Batan.
