This experience has been fantastic; the work is very manageable and easy. The location is great, close to the beach and many attractions. The bedroom is very comfortable, and you can use the kitchen. Thank you so much, Gonzalo, for your hospitality, for helping us, and for opening your hostel to us. We are very grateful and are leaving delighted.

Home Sol es una familia con un gran ambiente entre voluntarios y clientes. Gonzalo te va ayudar en todo y te va explicar las tareas y los horarios. La verdad que nos llevamos una gran experiencia en este voluntariado y un pedacito en nuestro corazón de cada una de las personas que hemos conocido allí. I really enjoyed volunteering at Home Sol! Gonzalo and Nuno are both very patient, replaced hosts with fascinating stories, and they're happy to teach you something. They create a really chill, warm atmosphere and I learnt a lot about working in hostels. Gonzalo is open to ideas and I nearly got to paint a mural, but ran out of time unfortunately. There's a kitchen just for volunteers. I'd certainly volunteer there again!

Amazing experience, the work is easy. Sometimes when there's a lot of checkouts in the morning shift it gets busy. Gonzalo is an amazing person and we get a kitchen to cook which is great! 10/10 already making plans to come back to Langkawi and Home Sol

The work is simple and easy to understand if you really want to get involved. Gonzalo is a good host and is flexible and understanding! We really liked our time here! The work consists in cleaning the guesthouse, helping guests in check-out/check-in, changing beds and answering to any question that might come from the guests

Really liked my time at home sol, it's a super chill place with lovely people. The work was fine, cleaning the common areas and the dorms and the checked out rooms, checking people in and renting bikes out. My travel plans had to change unexpectedly which meant I left this position early. Gonzalo was extremely kind and flexible about it which made me feel lots better about the situation.

Home Sol was a great place to be able to relax & take in the beautiful island! Gonzalo was an excellent host; he was very flexible with responsibilities, days off, etc. which made for a lovely stay. He is knowledgeable about the area & has done a great job opening a lovely hostel! Highly recommend!
