The lodge is a great experience, and is really fun! 2-3 weeks is enough time to experience everything and enjoy your time without being too tired out as the hours are spread out throughout the day so it can be tiring in the heat. The workers are all really lovely and will help you to feel welcome & Working with the kids is funny and cute. After work you can swim in the pool when the kids are not in it- usually 7-8pm which is nice Its a noisy camp with lots of music so sleeping can be difficult sometimes. The food is okay it's just what the kids eat. Thankyou for my time here! 🫶

Al llegar acá fue como llegar a un segundo hogar . es un lugar acogedor en la cual va bien si lo que quieres es despejar tu mente y reorganizar ideas y proyectos. De este lugar me llevo una gran experiencia y muy buenos momentos al igual que también dejo una gran huella con los trabajos que deje realizado para la mejora del lugar. Espero que los próximos voluntarios tengan una gran experiencia al igual que yo.

Estuvimos juntos con mi esposo desde el 23 de septiembre, nos sentimos como en casa,por tal motivo siempre queríamos estar pendiente de todo y el trabajo se hizo parte de una rutina de hogar. Conocimos personas maravillosas y le dábamos un ambiente de familia a todos los voluntarios y invitados; el anfitrión que es Álvaro nos apoyo mucho en nuestro proceso de estar en España por primera vez, haciendo que los días que estuvimos tuvieran un propósito. Todo en general fue un va y ven de emociones, pensamientos, trabajo, experiencia y buenos amigos, que nos fueron dejando un buen recuerdo.

In the beginning, our group of volunteers was a bit confused by the working hours. During camps, it can happen that you work very long days, but you get other days completely off as compensation. Working with the kids is very fun and rewarding. I experienced very nice and well-behaved kids. You always perform the activities with monitors helping you. Daro tried his best to provide vegetarian food, but we were mostly dependent on the food from the kitchen and mostly ate what the kids ate. So I definitely recommend bringing your own food! Thank you very much for this experience!

The lodge fue mi primera experiencia de voluntariado y no podría haber sido mejor. El sitio y todas las actividades que realizan son increíbles y las personas que lo componen aún más🤍 desde el primer momento te hacen sentir como en casa. Cada uno de ellos son maravillosos y no puedo estar más agradecida de haberles conocido. Álvaro es un gran anfitrión, siempre está atento a todo lo que necesites y por saber como te sientes. Recomendaría mil veces este voluntariado! (gracias siempre 🌷)

"the lodge is managed by Álvaro, a dedicated young leader. The team, including Carlos, Grisella, and Gregorio, is from South America, and I practiced Spanish with them. The experience was positive and flexible, working in a charming spot close to nature. The hacienda is now closed for winter maintenance but retains its charm. A car is recommended as it's in the countryside."

Volunteering at the lodge was a great experience! I was there during October and November, so they didn't have many camps booked. We ended up only working two camps. The hosts were amazing and really cared about our experience volunteering with them! You get fed three meals and snacks during the camps, but are, for the most part, on your own for food when there isn't a camp. As long as you like a calm, secluded experience, this is perfect for you. Overall, I highly, highly recommend this volunteer experience!

Me aprecié mucho mi tiempo aquí pero no es un lugar para todos por la ubicación rural y el horario laboral/libre. Durante mi estancia (en octubre y noviembre) no habían muchos campamentos, tampoco había otros voluntarios hasta la última semana, así que tuve mucho tiempo libre para hacer nada, leer, meditar, trabajar en línea, tomar viajes, etc. Pero durante los campamentos, me encantó conectar con los niños (a veces en español y a veces en inglés), crear y ayudar con actividades y juegos, ayudar en la cocina, y hablar con los buenísimos trabajadores y otros voluntarios. Voy a extrañar a todos!
