I recommend this volunteer opportunity 110%! I stayed at the the shelter for a month and had an incredible experience. The dogs will steal your heart instantly! So many of them have so much love to give, so be prepared to receive and give just as much in return, haha. The tasks are pretty simple: feeding the animals once a day, cleaning your area, showering the animals, playing with them... Now, about Malee, she is an incredible person who is madly in love with her animals. I felt very welcome thanks to her ! I was extremely sad to leave and say goodbye to my dogs, but I know they're in good hands

This experience at malee the shelter was amazing. I did end up cutting my stay short to head back to the U.S. I loved being of service to the animals and helping them around in my area. Malee is so sweet and accommodating always making sure you're good, happy, and well fed. She is a great cook! The dogs steak your heart almost instantly. It was nice to have my own space to decompress. There are great places to walk by her house. It felt like a new way of living and it did take some adjusting. When my day came to leave I found myself missing it as I got on the bus. I highly recommend Malees

I spent 5 weeks at malees the shelter and had the most amazing time, my job mostly included feeding the dogs and cleaning the dog areas, which was lots of fun being around all the lovely animals. Malee, Ken and their staff were very catering and made the experience 10 times more memorable, I had lots of time off from working and was able to have lovely days off, exploring the local area. Thank you so much malee for a lovely and memorable time!

I had an epic time at the the shelter everybody was so nice and welcoming and the dogs were all so nice. Malee is an amazing person and she cares so much about everyone. She knows every dogs name and truly cares about them. The cats are also super nice and love people too. I loved my time here so much I even extended my stay because I love it so much. Can only highly recommend♥️

I really enjoyed my stay at the the shelter. Marlee was always nice and took us on little adventures.The work was simple and you can figure out your own routine, since there are no fixed times when to start.Most of the dogs are nice and want love,but it can get quite overwhelming with so many dogs barking.On top of that I got bitten which was none of Marlees or anyones foult.It was an accident that had a major impact on my stay.I would still recomend this experiance to anyone, but get some information online.I wasnt prepared and I felt really hopeless not knowing how to protect myself afterwards.

From the moment i arrived at the the shelter everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Malee is such a sweet and caring woman. You can really feel that she loves all the dogs so much and really does everything for them to have the best possible lives. all the dogs love and respect her, they listen when she tells them to be quiet. It is a good feeling you get when you help, you really feel like you make an impact. Both for the dogs, but also for Malee and the staff by being able to some of the work they usually do. If you love dogs, I can only highly recommend this <3

Foi sensacional! Os cachorros são adoráveis, os gatinhos uma graça, eu e todos os voluntários que estavam comigo tivemos um excelente tempo com eles no abrigo. As horas são respeitadas, tem muito tempo para descansar, ir à praia quando a Malee tem disponibilidade, você tem um quarto privado e as tarefas são conforme a descrição, mas dedique-se ;). O clima é quente então se prepare. Recomendo muito a experiência e adoraria voltar caso tenha a oportunidade!

Je ne peux que recommander cette expérience. Malee est tout simplement incroyable. Elle vous fait découvrir la culture de son pays, ses traditions et bien évidemment son amour pour les animaux. Elle vous amène dans son quotidien, dans les régions voisines aider des chiens dans le besoin mais aussi découvrir des paysages et des plages Extraordinaires.
