I literally had the best time at the farm, if I could have stayed longer I would 🥹 I couldn't have dreamed of a better place, the land is so so beautiful and the horses are amazing. I'm so happy I experienced this lifestyle surrounded by nature, animals and with wonderful people. Thank you so much Juan again for everything, these memories are forever in my heart ❤️

I had the best time at the farm! This was my first experience volunteering and travelling so far on my own, and it couldn't have been better. I will forever be grateful to Juan for welcoming me to the ranch. He, Nestor, and Joana are truly "unos amores." If you love horses, nature, and don't mind getting a bit dirty sometimes, I'm sure you'll fall in love with this place just like I did. The work was really enjoyable, and I had the chance to experience so many amazing rides. I can't wait to go back!

Mi experiencia en La Piloná fue profundamente especial. Me sentí acogida desde el primer día, como en casa, rodeada de naturaleza, de caballos felices, bien cuidados y en libertad. Participé en el cuidado de muchos animales y sentí que cada tarea tenía un sentido. Este lugar me regaló una verdadera pausa en la vida: sencilla, real, llena de conexión. Estas 4 semanas en el rancho fueron increíbles. Todo fue perfecto: los caballos, el equipo, la comida, las actividades, el ambiente… Gracias Juan por tu recibimiento, tu amabilidad y tu energía. Sin duda, el mejor voluntariado que he hecho. Lo recomiendo a todo el mundo! 🙃🇺🇾

The welcome was incredibly warm, and Juan and the other girls volunteering there were so kind and made me feel at home right away. The highlights were definitely the nature, the horses, and the many animals that roamed freely. The accommodation was simple, but I really enjoyed the daily work taking care of the animals. I also appreciated that I could share my own ideas, which were welcomed and implemented. It was a great experience to learn about the Gaucho culture, and the food was always delicious. Anyone who loves animals and nature will feel at home here.

The perfect place if you love animals! The dogs will always be happy to cuddle or join you for a run and you will have lots of opportunities to go on beautiful horse rides herding cattle or sheep. Besides some daily tasks such as feeding the dogs and taking care of the vegetable garden there is always something new to do. Juan is a kind host that makes you feel very welcome as soon as you arrive. He is also open for new ideas so there is room for creativity and building new things. This wonderful place feels like a home away from home and the amazing memories made will be remembered forever.

I really loved my stay at the farm. I spent there 3 months, and really felt like I became part of the family. Dogs are big part of it! <33 Endless nature to wander and go trekking, with a horse or not. The tasks are very simple, and the amount of work changes depending of the current projects. I learned so much about how to take care of horses and other animals, clean wounds and give antibiotics etc. The general vibe is super chill. Will definitely come back one day!

As my first Worldpackers experience, I could've never dreamed of a better place to be ! Juan is warm and welcoming, he made sure that we felt at home in his the farm.The landscapes there are breathtaking, we made sure to enjoy it during horse rides at the sunset ! About the work, it was pretty chill. We did mostly painting and gardening, and sometimes helped a little when guests were coming over. We had so many great horse rides, the horses are very well behaved, and the dogs are too cute ! Anyway, if you want to live the traditional Uruguayan lifestyle, this experience is for you !!
