La ecovila, es un lugar espectacular en medio de la selva ecuatoriana. Intentan intégrate en la familia al máximo posible y tiene la oportunidad de beber y probar alimentos típicos de la región. Es una experiencia única poder hacer este volunariado, se aprende mucho y se conoce un poco más de cerca la amazonia. Hay que tener en cuenta, que la casa en la casa donde se duerme, no hay señal móvil, ni internet (en la ecovila si hay internet) y hay alguna cucaracha nocturna jeje experiencia de la selva.

I came here thinking about just the kids and teaching them english. But leaving them , was probably the hardest thing. i cried and we cried and it's all love . and i'm going to come again because they are not just people who live in the amazon who need help to me. They my friends and they treat me like family and i'm going to come here again. I made connections that i never thought of making. especially because i'm not the best spanish speaker but they bare with me and tried to teach me their native language but the pronunciations are crazy. and if you decide to come here , come with an open~

That was an immersive experience to go in this place, I had to teach English and French to a group of kids for 2 weeks and it was my first time doing that, I'm glad I went through this opportunity who happened to be both amazing and tough.. Haha, a great challenge, and also to express myself in Spanish! the eco village and his family were really nice people, a pleasure to meet them and to learn more about another culture! I get inspired by new ideas and lifestyle now :)

La comunidad nos recibió muy bien, y Nelly y la ecovila nos hicieron sentir en familia. Tienen muchas cosas por enseñar de su cultura y siempre están dispuestos a ayudarte en todo lo que necesites. Yo me enfermé y ellos fueron muy comprensivos y me aconsejaron los mejores remedios de la región para recuperarme pronto. la ecovila nos llevó a una cascada preciosa en la mitad de la selva y fue increíble. Cuando llegamos, los niños estaban muy felices de conocernos y de aprender Inglés. Sin duda, una gran experiencia para nosotros y nuestro hijo.

Sin duda una experiencia increíble!! la ecovila y su familia me recibieron con mucho cariño en su hogar, la comunidad, su gente, en general te sientes como en casa, conectas con la naturaleza y aprendes muchísimo de su cultura :)

Our experience was good. We arrived around 7:30 pm, so it was dark. the eco village changed the arrival location last minute, however, the new location was 25 minutes walk from the original place. the eco village and Nelly welcomed us in a very gentle manner, they even clocked something for us. The place where we stayed was not the best, an unfinished house with no covering on the windows and opening on doors, so all type of insects were able to come in. Nevertheless, we found a way to make the place feel like home (thanks to Elisabet). The outdoor shower was good! The kids are nice and we enjoyed teaching them
