The bathroom was covered & caked in urine and public hairs. The host later apologised. I cannot give a FULL review as I chose to leave after 24h. Reasons being the extremely challenging dynamics of the house (host - patronising, adult daughter - in your face & obnoxiously loud). I would've chosen differently if I'd have known this ahead of time. I felt unsafe in some areas of the house - these concerns were dismissed and I felt uncomfortable w/ some of the responses I was given. Unusual family dynamic - no doubt will work for some volunteers and not others. I genuinely wish the family luck.

I’m sorry the place didn’t match what you were expecting… and you’re totally right the bathroom was gross when you arrived – that was embarrassing :( ... I had put you in my teenage son’s room at the last minute as he was away which isn’t an excuse, I should have taken the time to check the ensuite it was clean, sorry!.

I think your advice about new photos is a good idea: I will take some new ones today.

I’m sorry you found the dynamic with Anna and myself full on – I am aware it can be “bubbling with energy” at times. Also if I came across as patronizing or dismissive I apologize, perhaps I’ve become too familiar with living around the renovation site to remember what it’s like coming into a new place. I’ll watch out for that, thanks for bringing it up.
