The penthouse is amazing, and as a volunteer, you have access to the pool and gym, which is a great bonus. The owner, Bart, is a wonderful person who always listens to your needs, making the experience very comfortable.Just be a bit careful with the manager, Roy. If you don't follow his instructions exactly, you might run into problems; sometimes he expects things in an exaggerated way, like you're his personal assistant.Other than that, everything is super great: the tasks are very simple, the place is very clean and safe, and the location is perfect since the metro is in the same building

I had a great experience volunteering at the hostel in Kuala Lumpurfor two weeks. The hosts, Chris and Bart, were really good guys, super friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I truly appreciate the opportunity they gave me to join them in taking care of the hostel. The work was simple and enjoyable, and the environment made it feel even better. Thanks again for everything!

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Mr Yassine for their amazing support and dedication while volunteering at my hostel. They were incredibly helpful, responsible, and proactive in handling tasks, from assisting with guests to keeping the space clean and welcoming. Their positive attitude, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile truly made a difference. I’m so grateful for their time and effort — any host would be lucky to have them on board. Thank you again

It's our first trip in WorldPackers and it was overall a good experience. We were welcomed well and the tasks are pretty easy and fairly distributed. The place is very chill, from the owners to the other volunteers that are working, the energy is really nice. It was really pleasure to meet Bart and Chris.

This was my first time using Worldspackers. Bart and Chris are great people and so chill. Their energy is contagious. The communication was straightforward from beginning to end. The amount of hours and the tasks were easy and fair work, and if anything we work as a team and support each other. It was nice to meet guests and other volunteers from all over the world. Even during work days, I could find time to explore the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur or rest some and find peace in the dorm. I highly recommend this host. Thank you for the opportunity 😊💙

I wouldn't recommend volunteering here at ALL. Despite the bad reviews, I still thought it wouldn't be that bad. But Bart, the owner, was very rude, had terrible communication, and explained nothing. When I told him things should be clearer and more organized, he reacted aggressively, threatened to call security, and wanted me out immediately, saying “Go go” and “You're just a volunteer, I'm the owner.” Millie, another volunteer, tried to help but couldn't calm him down. Other volunteers I spoke to also had the same bad experience. As a solo female traveler, I felt unsafe and went

This experience was disappointing. Our room had only one working light, forcing us to use phone flashlights and we shared a broken locker. Despite repeated requests, nothing was fixed during our 2 week stay. Manager Roy was unprofessional, often rude and contacting me off shift, prompting me to report him. Breakfast was promised daily, but we went 5 days without food. While the owner was kind, he wasn't present to oversee staff. The hostel lacked proper facilities, including broken cooking equipment, damp floors, and no permanent female staff in the female dorm.

Great location with easy access to the city. The boss was flexible and kind, but working with him more would've been nice. One manager was rude and the organization could improve—volunteers were often contacted during free time and had to ask for food or correct hours. Potential, but needs work.

Honestly it wasn't the best experience for us since the communication was really bad, it was so hard to get answers, we worked more than the agreed hours and had more tasks, our training was given by another volunteer that didn't know what she was doing. On the other hand the accommodation was decent, we had a laundry machine and wifi
