I had an absolutely amazing time at Surfing Etxea! The work was super chill and David and Aritz made it truly feel like home from the very beginning 🌞 I can definitely recommend doing a volunteering here, especially if you want to meet a lot of cool people from all around the world🤙🏻 Thank you all for the amazing time! I will come back🏄🏼‍♀️

El voluntariado en Surfing Etxea me encanto, lo recomiendo 100%! El staff fue muy amable y buena onda, el hostel es muy lindo y queda a dos cuadras de la playa. Nos relacionamos muy bien con los voluntarios y con los huéspedes, es una buena experiencia para conocer gente de otras nacionalidades. Las tareas son sencillas y las pactadas, son flexibles también. Gracias David y Aritz por recibirme, me sentí como en casa :))

Mi experiencia en Surfing Etxea fue de lo mejor. La ubicación es inigualable y la experiencia con los demás voluntarios y huéspedes hicieron de ella algo que apreciaré mucho siempre. El trabajo es muy sencillo y también los dueños siempre están para ayudarte. También siempre motivándote a hacer más cosas, a explorar el hostel Sebastián y a irte a surfear! Gracias David y Aritz! I have an amazing the hostel Surfing Etxea. The Hosts David and Aritz are super Kind, easygoing, and respectfull. We work really well together. They also invite us to local places and we travel to France sometimes. I would definitely do another voluntary here if I can.

Ha sido un lujazo contar con Santi esta temporada.
Además de superar las expectativas con sus conocimientos de fotografía, edición, manejo de redes sociales, etc... ha hecho un trabajo increíble en la recepción y atención de clientes en el bar.
Por otro lado a encajado perfectamente con todo el equipo del hostel. Siempre dispuesto a echar una mano y con la mejor onda.
Gracias por todo Santi!!!!
Esperamos volver a vernos muy pronto y sabes que esta es tu casa ;)

Estar con los chicos en Etxea fue mucho mas que una buena experiencia, fue más que buena mi estancia ahí, mejore mucho mi inglés, aprendí muchas cosas nuevas y también conocí personas maravillosas, que siempre tendrán un espacio en mi corazón🫶🏼🫶🏼 David y Aritz son personas increíbles que sin duda alguna siempre se pasara un buen rato con ellos. Sin duda el mejor Hostel del hostel Sebastián. David y Aritz son personas increíbles e el Hostel tiene una vibe única e indescriptible, no tengo palabras para descrever como Surfing Etxea es un lugar especial.

I had a very good experience! I stayed in the reception and the bar, I practiced my Spanish and English and I met a lot of good people. The hostel is very good and the work is fun and easy. I'm sure anyone would have a good experience there!

I had what one would call a “difficult start” in the beginning, but I got a lot of experience as it was my first time working. I had fun during my shifts, mainly because the guests were all one of a kind. Only real setback was that I never got to feel comfortable with most of the other volunteers, nor the cook. It was clear from the first week that they didn't like me and even the guests could detect it. Simple things, that everybody did, like being seen outside of the bar when things were slow, didnt apply to me. The bosses are super quick and experts. The hostel attracts amazing people!

It could be worst than it was. But still the time I paid there it wasn't worth. Unfortunately the room for the volunteers was nasty. And besides that the colleagues were quit rude. Basically it was more uncomfortable than welcoming.

The basis of coexistence is in oneself and not to blame others or space.
0 commitment on your part and attitude from the first moment despite being in low season and not having to do much to do ...
It is funny that you criticize the space of the volunteers without having used it, since you complained from the beginning and we located you in the best place of the hostel.
Thank you for leaving us on the fifth day of your arrival without notice and avoiding having to tell you to leave yourself.

It was an amazing experience, had no way to be better. The best hostel I have ever seen, good vibes, the hosts David and Aritz are wonderful people and they have always been very good to me. the hostel is also an incredible place and I dont want to leave. It was amazing, I recommend this experience to everyone!
