El lugar es cómodo y acogedor, Martha es una persona amable y generosa. Durante mi estancia pude ayudar con el cuidado de las plantas, algo que me encantó porque vi muchas florecer y pude pasar tiempo rodeada de naturaleza. Recomiendo este voluntariado si buscan un lugar tranquilo y con ambiente hogareño :)

¡Mi experiencia fue fantástica! ¡Doña Martita es un amor de persona, muy atenta, cuidadosa, y sobre todo alegre! Fue increíble pasar esos días juntas, la pasamos genial, no solo fuimos superbién tratadas y acogidas como contagiadas por su amor a las plantas y las cositas simples de la vida. Aprendimos bastante sobre la cultura ecuatoriana, sobre su cocina y flora. En la finca hay una variedad tremenda de plantas, así como espacio para personas creativas que puedan ayudar a construir y diseñar. Fue una experiencia muy rica, la recomiendo para quienes van con ganas de trabajar y aprender.

This experience was amazing! The voluntary work I did was adapted to my knowledge of Painting, I got to paint a mural for the home (the host). She is soooooo lovely! I love her humor so much! She is constantly making sure everything is good, really attentive. The only problem is that you will really love it here and if you have plans after your stay it's going to be heartbreaking having to leave :'). 100% recommended!

Mi estadía en casa de la casa fué genial, la habitación es super cómoda, tienes cocina disponible por si deseas cocinar, un jardín enorme, está cerca de la ciudad de Puyo, hay buena locomoción para salir a conocer lugares hermosos, ríos, parques, cascadas, y mucho más. El trabajo es súper fácil ideal para gente que le guste las plantas y conectar con la naturaleza. Martha es súper flexible con los horarios para las labores, así puedes organizarte para salir a conocer el sector. Le agradezco a Martha y David por haberme recibido en su hogar, por su amabilidad, estoy feliz de haberlos conocido.

Marta was such a sweet soul who was so helpful and welcoming. her garden is beautiful! we did very easy tasks around the house like potting and repotting plants, pulling weeds, for 3 hours in the morning. Marta showed us around puyo, gave us so many day trip ideas & even hung out and went to dinner with us❤️ there's a lot to do in puyo town and the bus is only 40 cents a person from her home. we had such a great time here and as this was our first worldpackers experience, it couldn't have gone better!

Such a great experience! My friend and I loved working in Martha's garden and getting the opportunity to explore Puyo and other surrounding parts of Ecuador. Martha is an excellent host. In addition to welcoming us into her home, she also went out of her way to help us coordinate our activities during our time off. The meals she cooked us were wonderful! The biggest challenge we faced was understanding the specifics of certain gardening tasks. At times, I feel we could have benefited from more supervision and feedback on our work. Overall, I would absolutely recommend!

My friend and I had an amazing stay at Martha's. Puyo is an amazing hidden gem and we had so many wonderful experiences exploring Puyo and surrounding cities (Baños!). Martha cooked amazing meals for us and we got hooked on plantains :) I fell in love with Martha's garden and enjoyed spending time there- whether it be relaxing in the hammock or working with the plants. We didn't end up working as many hours as expected due to rain, but our tasks included cleaning up the trails in the yard, repotting plants, or watering plants. I highly recommend knowing some Spanish to communicate with Martha!

Mi experiencia en el Orquideario de the home ha sido increíble, las tareas son sencillas, divertidas y son una gran terapia (ahora entiendo a Martha y a mi mamá) jaja. De verdad me gustó muchísimo la interacción que hubo entre las actividades y el compartir con la señora Martha, ella es una persona de un gran corazón, es paciente, atenta, tiene una gran visión, su comida es riquísima y esas charlas a la hora del desayuno las extrañaré. Gracias por darme la oportunidad de compartir con usted y su familia, me la llevo en el corazón, gracias por todo. Un fuerte abrazo 🤗 Recomendadísimo!!! 👌🏼

Martha is a kind and very generous host. I really enjoyed my time in Puyo. I've felt right at home which is testamount to Martha's hospitality. It's a cosy home with a beautiful garden. Her two dogs are very friendly and cute. Any questions at all you may have, Martha is right there to help. Tasks are very simple and the hours flexible making it easy to explore Puyo- which there is alot to see! Buses stop right outside the house so getting into and out of the town centre is very easy and only 40 cents. It's also very easy to get to Martha's house as again it is right besides a bus stop :) .
