My mom will be renovating some of the grounds that are too rundown in the coming months. She needs someone EXPERIENCED who knows about demolition, mixing/ framing/pouring/ setting cement, wall and roof building.

If you are under 30 or, my mom will not consider you. She had 2 horrific experiences with the first 2 volunteers, and it took me more than a year to convince her to activate her profile and that's because I will be here to supervise.

The standard activities here are mainstream upkeep of the olive grove -we also have a small chicken coop and veggie plot which of course needs tending to all year round. We love cooking and fresh produce jarring, pickling, sauces, chutneys, all for personal consumption. Basically, there's always at that needs to be done here. 😅

My mom speaks Greek only. I speak Greek, English, Spanish, Korean and can run interference if necessary. The 25hr a week is the worst case scenario. Volunteers with experience in farming might crunch the work in half the time. You can set your schedule in coordination with my mom. My mom can teach you many things, but if you don't pick things up fast, she will just do it herself which kinda negates the whole point of me posting this profile.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Work depends on the time of year of course and it ranges from checking the sprinklers and automated watering pipes, pruning, fencing, picking olives and grapes - to stockpiling, rock clearing, burning branches.

Morning shifts are usually better, as it's not really hot before 11am in summer and not as cold in winter.

To the best of your ability, tidy after yourself.
If my mom says EAT, you eat. I am being serious here. My mom shows her love through feeding you until you are comatose. So if you have dietary issues, food allergies, etc this isn't a good fit for you. If you work hard and don't slack off my mom will feed you to your heart's content.
