I could not have chosen a better destination for my first worldpackers trip. For my trip period. People there are so open and accepting, making you feel like you belong there. I enjoyed all the different types of work and was never bored. I found myself a second family of friends from all over the world and will forever hold on to my memories of this place. Can't wait to go back! 💛🫶

Living and working in Sammatz was an incredible experience filled with new friends, beautiful surroundings, and lots of learning. It was a great practice in collective living, made even better by the diversity of people living with me. You really meet people from all over the world here and there's a special kind of person that chooses to do this work, making it easy to befriend everyone around you. On days off it was easy to explore nearby cities and get to know the area which was nice. I highly recommend the experience for those who are curious about community living & enjoy nature!

The eco village was a very valuable experience where I acquired new skills, knowledge, and friends. Their scheduling and required working hours are not actually as clear cut as they would appear in the listing, so be sure to ask for clarification when you apply. Overall, I would definitely recommend this village, it's like summer camp for young adults!

Sammatz is a place full of hardworking people who are passionate about keeping their little village going and, of course, they expect you to be like that as well when they welcome you into their home. There are plenty of areas where you can help: from gardening to animals to bakery to cleaning to kitchen to helping with Peronnik. Therefore, you can try so many new activities and learn so many new things. For me this experience was incredibly refreshing and saturated with events. I got to meet so many wonderful people from all over the globe, the friends I've made were the best part of it all.

Even though I spent less time in Sammatz than I first expected. I got to see soo much in my short stay. People are coming from all over the world they are ready to socialize and create & sustain the friendly atmosphere. I had fun and met with so many people. Since I wanted to improve my German my duty was to be in the cafè and basically being a waiter. Not only I improved my German I also gained confidence speaking it and I must say people really encouraged me which I really appreciate :). Overall Sammatz has its own rules,time flow and atmosphere. Once you get used to it it's hard to let go.

Recomendada la experiencia de vida en comunidad en sammatz, el entorno bien cuidado de pura naturaleza, grandes espacios para caminar bajo diferentes ambientes naturales, flores, aves, lagos,ambiente propicio para estudiar después de la tarea diaria. puedes aprender sobre construcción, cuidado de animales, elaboración de pan, quesos, en sammatz tienen ovejas, cabras, vacas, caballos, animales de corral todo una experiencia para aprender. las personas amables y pacientes para orientar cada actividad a realizar, compartir con gente de varias partes del mundo con diferentes culturas lenguajes..

Tuvimos una muy buena experiencia. Aprendimos sobre diferentes tareas, conocimos a personas de diversos países (mayormente latinos), conectamos con la naturaleza y mejoramos nuestro inglés. Recomendamos mucho este voluntariado.
