The hostel is right in the heart of the city with a fantastic and dedicated staff that takes care of the hostel. There is a wide verity of tasks from cleaning, making breakfast, nightly guest activities, to giving tours. Depending on what you like or excel at you will be placed there. Sleeping situation is great with the private lockable box beds. Big thank you to Nelti and the staff for making me feel at home!

¡Decir adiós al hostel fue muy difícil! El Hostel es fantástico, desde la arquitectura moderna y confortable, hasta la organización, la limpieza e incluso el equipo staff que es increíble y te hace sentir como en casa. Estoy seguro que el hostel es el mejor de la CDMX, embárcate en esta experiencia... Solo me queda agradecer a todos los que fueron parte de mi primera experiencia, muchas gracias. Un fuerte abrazo a todo el equipo staff, me encantó conocer a cada uno de ustedes, están en mi corazón. Fue un honor ser parte del hostel. ¡Anhelo!

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel and working with Fer and Pedro! ❤️ Nelti was flexible with any advance scheduling request! It's important to keep in mind that the tasks that you are assigned will greatly impact whether you find the experience enjoyable or not as some are more difficult than others.

Location is perfect! Hostel is well maintained and the box beds are amazing! Some members of the hostel are very unwelcoming and rude but most were genuine and lovely! I do recommend.

I enjoyed my time at the hostel! Nelti was very kind and was open to changes in the schedule if it worked out. The hostel is very clean and your bed is the most private bed in a hostel I've ever stayed in. All the front desk workers were very kind, I wish I knew Spanish more to get to know them better.

This was my first experience as a volunteer and I honestly don't think I could have picked a better hostel to start my volunteering at. This hostel showed me nothing but love and respect from the people who work here to the people who were considered my bosses. I had such a great time exploring the city with the guests as a tour guide and it was a beautiful experience to meet local people and also foreigners traveling through the hostel. They for sure made me feel right at home and comfortable staying and volunteering at Hostal the hostel. Thanks to all of the staff/ everyone involved at the hostel!

Mi experiencia en the hostel fue de lo mejor! El hostel es hermoso, la gente que trabaja y los otros voluntarios son personas súper cálidas y hermosas que te ayudan en las tareas y hacen que te sientas en casa. Agradecida de haber sido parte del the hostel, un lugar del que me cuesta mucho irme y sin duda quisiera volver! Una experiencia que recomiendo a todo los viajeros que quieran conocer la increíble ciudad de México y conectar con su cultura y tradiciones. Nos encanto tener a Lu con nosotros, realmente no queríamos dejarla ir. Siempre fue muy servicial, dispuesta, acomedida y proactiva. Hizo una bonita comunidad con sus compañeros y sus clases siempre tenían gente pues les encantaba la vibra y como la impartía, sin mencionar lo mucho que nos ayudaba en cualquier otra actividad que le fuera asignada. Deseamos que regreses Lu! Barrio es tu casa y tendremos los brazos abiertos para recibirte de vuelta con mucho gusto cuando lo desees.

The hostel is a fantastic place to volunteer. The facilities are great and the activities are fun. The people are very friendly, kind and super supportive. I can't thank them enough for my time there and wish I could have stayed longer.

Esta experiencia fue muy linda, conoci voluntarios y viajeros que ahora son familia. Sobre el personal, increibles. Nelti, muchas gracias por haberme recibido como en casa y por tu paciencia. Israel y los chicos de barra, Oliver y Miguel, son personas increibles con los que puedes contar para todo. Sinceramente lo recomiendo, si estas leyendo esto sientete con la libertad de postular, porque es un lugar muy limpio y confortable idela para quienes trabajan online. Su ubicacion es perfecta a cuadras del centro historico.

I don't know if my review will be helpful as they are going through a period of change and improving (right now they have a mess). The to environment between the staff and with volunteers it's honestly like being in a Hollywood high school movie; sometimes they love each other, sometimes they team up against someone and they constantly talk about each other and “punch” each other on the back. But, the travelers that arrive are usually amazing! The hostel is super clean and one of the best I've stayed at (installation wise). The activities are being changed, and there's about to be a new host.
