It's hard to explain how amazing has been my experience of voluteering in Lualua. If you're looking for a friendly, lovely, funny and easy-going place to stay, this is your place! It's such a big family where everyone is more than welcome. Carlos is a wonderful person, he's gonna make you feel welcome and he's ready to help you whenever you need. The crew of volunteers can arrange shifts as they prefer. The work is reasonable. I learned spanish, I meet a lot of wonderful people from all the world and I made an incredible experience that I won't never forget. Strongly raccomended!!

This is an amazing and lovely place full of good vibes and experiences, Carlos and his family are the best, always caring about us and they make sure you are feeling properly, all the work is even and there is enough free time to enjoy the island. Totally recommended :)

Fué mi primera experiencia como Worldpacker. No me alcanzan las palabras para expresar lo bien que la pasé en el hostel, simplemente puedo decir que lo recomiendo al máximo. Muchas gracias Carlos y Francesca por darme la posibilidad de ser parte del staff!!!

The hostel is one of the best hostels in the hostel. Relaxed atmosphere, no rush, everyone is friendly and super helpful. There's enough time to socialise, sightsee and enjoy. I loved every minute of it.

Todas as pessoas que trabalham no hostel são incríveis, tanto staff quanto os donos!! Super prestativos e amigáveis!\nOs turnos sao variados e as funcoes sao relativamente balanceadas, ainda oferecem coisas basicas para cozinhar.\nÓtima experiencia para surfar tb! (20 minutos a pé do pico mais próximo)

El hostel es muy buena onda. Las personas que conocí ai son increíbles. Pero Carlos me echo de la nada, me dijo que yo no sé muy bien de limpieza. Para mí eso fue muy mala onda por qué hize todo lo que me pidió. Hasta fui a lijar con el una casa que no tiene nada que ver con el hostel en que yo estaba. Y simplemente me cambio por otro y yo no encontré un hostel para quedarme y tuve que quedar en la casa de un conocido. Yo que vine de otro país, si tuviera un conocido me quedaría en la calle. Y los 2 días libres que se lo prometen aí no existen. Me sentí muy triste con eso.
