My experience volunteering at the hostel was incredible like waking up every day in a paradise. They offer you 3 meals a day from a super varied menu. The work is quite simple and the environment is very good. The bosses are always willing to help you and solve any questions you may have. There are a lot of activities and the party never fails. 100% I would volunteer again at the hostel.

My stay at the hostel was amazing. I worked at the bar and had a lot of fun with the staff and guests. The hostel got an amazing atmosphere and I felt welcomed and comfortable all the time. The food is really good and you can even choose between different dishes. There are a lot of activities to participate if you're not working (yoga class, dance class, ...). If you're a party person you can party almost every day. The dorm room for the volunteers was okay but not amazing. That doesn't matter much though because you're there to sleep anyway. I highly recommend this volunteering.

I was supposed to stay only for 4 weeks and ended up extending for other 2 weeks! That should say enough about how welcome and happy I felt during my stay at the hostel! Hours of work where always respected and Luis is very flexible as well if you talk to him (in case of needing a change in the schedule etc) Over all a great experience! Would definitely recommend this volunteering for anyone looking to connect with nature and have a fun time!

Spending a month at the hostel through Worldpackers was mindBlowing. The electric atmosphere, daily activities, and tight-knit staff made it feel like home. From sandcastle competitions to unforgettable parties, every day was an adventure.

I had an amazing time at the hostel. The hostel is located right on the beach, and all of the facilities are amazing. As a volunteer, you are not only living with other volunteers but with the staff aswell. This gives you an amazing opportunity to connect with locals and practice Spanish. I worked in the bar, and it was a great opportunity to connect with guests and learn more about making cocktails. The food is also amazing, and you are able to chose from almost any item on the menu.

I really enjoyed my stay in the hostel, the staff members are very welcoming and open to get to know you and teach you everything they know about bartending. The environment is amazing, there are many fun things to do around !

Costena Beach is a lively spot with friendly staff, great for socializing & practicing Spanish. However, the volunteer dorms are very rustic, which made it hard to feel fully comfortable there especially for 4 weeks. If considering remote work, the unreliable Wi-Fi & no cell reception was challenging. Improving communication with the host & providing volunteers with more food options on the menu would be great. Lastly, if you're going for surf, reconsider because the ocean here is really rough. Overall, it's a fun spot if your ok with roughing it for a few weeks & want to socialize :)

Ha sido una experiencia maravillosa. El sitio es literalmente un paraíso, la comida es increíble y quiero destacar el trato del staff quien me enseñó mucho y tuve la oportunidad de sentirme súper acogida. Gracias sobre todo a Marlly, Yuranis, Hilda, Kevin, Mateo, Juan, Orlando, Deiber y más! Me hicieron sentir como en casa y lo agradezco de corazón. Para futuros voluntarios: no os olvidéis el repelente!! 😊
