If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Thamel, but still have the big city within reach, learn a lot about Nepal, its traditions and politics from your host, and look after 15 adorable goats for about two hours a day, five days a week, then this is the place for you. The family is very welcoming and the food is healthy and always delicious. I also got to learn how to cook roti and momos. The tasks mostly involve herding goats, mucking out the stables or gardening, but everything is easy to do.

I really enjoyed my two weeks at the home Fram!! Saroj and his family are the kindest most welcoming people. I spent my time with dogs and goats, had the best nepali food and thereby learned much about the local culture and their way of living. The working time was aligning perfectly with my freetime plans. Most of the time we would sleep until 10am, had pancakes for breakfast and afterwards watched the goats for 2 hours. Everything was nearby including a supermarket, a laundry service and free yoga classes. Thank you for this wonderful, authentic experience!!

This experience was amazing, the family was very kind and warm, the place was magnificent, Saroj was a great, helpful and friendly person who always helped me, the food and tea were always available, I made friends with other volunteers from other parts of the world, I recommend this house to everyone.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the home for a week. We had our own private room in the back garden. What we enjoyed most was cooking with Mama and her family. A wonderful group of volunteers formed among us. The work is very simple and involves looking after their 15 goats in the meadow in front of their house. It was one of the most beautiful experiences in all of Nepal! The only improvement that could be made is a softer mattress. Thank you for everything!!! we'll think of you often.

Im in my final week of a month long stay with Saroj and his family. They have all been so wonderful and welcoming. Ive really enjoyed my time at the farm, the goats and dogs were so much fun. Saroj hosts a warm and flexible environment, hes been so great at accommodating to any of my needs and making me feel happy in Nepal. The farm is well situated, so its an easy walk or bike to thamel or any of the major temples and squares. I highly recommend the home

I stayed at the home for a week and I wish I could have stayed for a month! Loved spending time with the other volunteers and exploring Kathmandu together. The location is very nice, the facilities are pretty basic but good and Mama's food is delicious and nourishing. The work is really easy and you have plenty of free time. The yoga classes are fun, really recommend! We had a great bbq night one day too! Thank you Saroj for having me and thanks to the other volunteers for making the time so memorable. Will be back! <3

I stayed one week at the home and I really enjoyed my time there ! I couldn't work in the farm because of the rain, but I spent my time visiting the city, going to the free yoga class and sharing meals with other travellers. Saroj is very friendly and flexible, we had really nice conversations together. Thank you again !

This was my second time at the home, and once again I felt so at home. The family is incredibly kind, the atmosphere cozy, and the food delicious. Work in the garden is light and flexible, leaving plenty of time to explore or relax. I loved deepening my connection to Nepali culture and daily life.
