Beschreibung: Expand Peru relies on the contributions made by volunteers to sustain its programs. Your financial support covers essential expenses, including the purchase of materials for activities, wages of dedicated staff like teachers and psychologists, and your accommodation. Additionally, these contributions fund the administrative and operational costs that guarantee the continuity of this program. Fees are $150/week or $500/month.

Programmdetails

This program is dedicated to providing essential care and support for vulnerable and abandoned babies and children in the Peruvian Andes. You’ll play a crucial role in creating a loving and stimulating environment where these children can grow, thrive, and receive the nurturing they need for their overall development. Here's how:

• Compassionate care: offering tender care and emotional support to the little ones. By creating a secure and affectionate environment, you'll help them feel valued and cared for, which is essential for their emotional and psychological well-being.

• Developmental activities: leading activities to foster their growth and development. This includes educational games, creative play, and social interactions that stimulate their cognitive and emotional skills, ensuring they receive holistic support.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

You will work from 8:00 to 13:00, Monday to Friday. These are the types of activities our volunteers typically perform:

• Lead workshops in arts such as painting, music, dance, and theater to encourage creativity and self-expression
• Offer emotional support, active listening, and guidance in a safe and welcoming environment.
• Create their own workshops and games to entertain and educate the kids: from talks about their home countries to games and cooking classes
• Organize and lead sports sessions and recreational games to promote physical activity and teamwork
• Play and engage in fun activities with the children to foster joy and connection
