It was a really lovely experience as I got to meet lots of great people. There were plenty of things to do in Belfast and the surrounding area so I was never bored. Tash was a fantastic manager and friend who was so supportive and Mark was very kind and welcoming to us volunteers. I enjoyed spending time with the other volunteers as well as meeting the people staying at the hostel! Fantastic experience, thank you!

I stayed in the hostel for four months and a half, and I have to say it was an amazing experience that would recommend to everyone. The work is very easy and straightforward, and the work hours are very flexible. Mark and Colette are super nice, kind and fun people. Tash is the best manager ever, she is always around to help, to go out, and to create fun activities for us volunteers. The facilities are very nice, and the hostel is really close to the City Centre. Belfast is a great city and GV is the perfect hostel to volunteer and get to know it. Thank you so much for everything!

I had an amazing experience volunteering at this hostel for three months. The schedules were straightforward and well-organized, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The team fostered a fun and family-like environment, making every day a pleasure. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity!

Volunteering at the hostel was such an incredible experience - I cannot recommend it enough!! The work is simple, and the people there are amazing. I had so much fun, and met so many new people. So, so sad to be leaving!

The hostel is a very special place. The hostel itself is very clean, organized, and spacious. The owners and manager are very fun, accommodating, and understanding. The work is very reasonable and even enjoyable. Working at the hostel is incredibly rewarding and you meet the best people there. 10/10 I definitely recommend it and would absolutely work there again if I end up back in the city.

I spent one of the best months of my life at the hostel. The other volunteers were amazing people that I'm really grateful to have met, and the entire hostel has a really great social atmosphere. There is a lot of engagement between the staff and guests, which makes the environment even more dynamic. The manager is lovely and super helpful, always going out of her way to help us have a good experience, e.g. altering the schedule to suit individual needs. The work is not difficult and reasonable, and we volunteers had a genuine passion for looking after the hostel since it felt so homely:)
