My time in the hostel was exceptional. I was a bit apreensive with some less positive reviews but Miltos is just so nice and welcoming that all quickly vanished. The place is very social and open, great to interact with guests from all over. The location is perfect and allows for a cool vacation by the beach and in nature vibe. The work is extremely flexible and soft, basically just need to maintain the place and do some garden work. Batsi has a bus making it easy to reach and move around island. I had a wonderful time at the hostel. The hours flew by, between work and relaxing on the gorgeous beaches of Batsi (just a 10-15 minute walk away). I met some great people, shared some great memories and had the time of my life. I had very few issues with Miltos, although some of the other volunteers felt differently.

The hostel is quite a unique hostel. It is beautifully encased by the hostel trees and makes up for a serene surrounding with its location right at the beach, ideal for swimming and nice hikes. The work is easy, the working hours are fair, and the host, Miltos, has a really relaxed approach. Just be aware that you will have to follow his ways, as there are some rules, but they make sense and come from his experience, but dont be shy to object him.

Hermosa isla, un lugar paradisiaco, ideal para visitar en verano. El dueño es bastante claro con lo que se debe hacer, como así también atento y considerado, pero en ciertas situaciones tiende a perder el control y generar un momento desagradable, tuvimos una confrotación por ello, pero lo charlamos y pudimos aclarar las cosas, lo cual ayudó a mejorar nuestro entendimiento mutuo. Por lo que me contó pasó por situaciones estresantes, consecuencia de actitudes y acciones de otras personas... hay que entender y considerar que él recibe personas tanto en su hogar como fuente de ingresos.

The location and the people were great, but the work was poorly organised and the host is extremely temperamental and doesn't really respect personal space/privacy. Frankly, I don't recommend the experience to others

Miltos was rude and difficult to work with. He yelled at multiple volunteers, including me, about things that could've been easily communicated. The hostel is dirty and not well maintained. There is no set schedule or days off, he tells you what you are doing the day of so there is no time to plan your day. The island itself is beautiful, we did have plenty of time off to explore it. There are fun hikes and plenty of pretty beaches.

You integrated with a group that really had no respect for the place. I am always the same it is only the people that come here that are different. I really do not have to communicate to adults obvious things. Your group however did not respect even signs that existed.

Went to Andros during off season and wasn't sure what to expect but had the best time. Was so relaxing and laid back.. met lots of other lovely travellers at the hostel and I felt like Miltos made everyone feel very welcome. The tasks were very reasonable and miltos was generally laid back. the hostel now has a special place in my heart❤️🍋

Miltos is a very nice guy and such a character ! I had a very great time with him and with the other people on the hostel The work is really easy going and you have to take it easy ;) Miltos always try to create a community with the guests and the volunteers, thanks for that ! Don t be shy and ask him about the good places he always the best recommendations ! Thanks for all Miltos

I loved my stay at the hostel on Andros island. I stayed during low season but still found plenty to do. The tasks were not hard and I had plenty of free time to explore the island. Miltos had many recommendations for great excursions and was a very thoughtful host. It was apparent he wants every guest and volunteer alike to have a great time. I met many travellers who were all great company to explore beaches, go out to dinners and do hikes with. I will forever cherish my time at the hostel, a true oasis surrounded by nature!

My experience at the hostel was amazing!! Thank you Miltos and Elena for hosting such a social environment where you can meet so many interesting people and create amazing friendships. The work is not hard at all, with some tasks in the morning and in the evening, you have loads of time to see Andros and it's beauty. All you need to succeed in this environment is initiative, flexibility and a “go with the flow” attitude. This hostel is down to earth and no fuss :) I would recommend 🍋🍋🍋🍋
