Nuestra experiencia en este voluntariado fue aceptable. Se nos brindó una acomodación buena, y aseada, pero es importante decir que fue suerte, el host cuenta con mas de 4 hostales y te pueden ubicar en cualquiera, "The central" fue donde nos alojamos y fue muy bien, pero otras acomodaciones como "Santo Antonio 49" pueden ser una experiencia complicada como lo comentaron varios voluntarios allí. El entrenamiento brindado fue pobre, y aunque las tareas en la recepción son fáciles, a veces se esperaba que el voluntario hiciera cosas que no se le explicaron. hay areas de oportunidad por mejorar

Nuestra experiencia con este host fue positiva en general, pero las reseñas reflejan fallas no atendidas. El host gestiona varios hostales, lo que genera variabilidad en las condiciones. En algunos lugares encontramos camas con pulgas, utensilios en mal estado y falta de limpieza. Nuno debe mejorar la comunicación con los voluntarios, entendiendo que es un intercambio de beneficios, no un trabajo. A pesar de las deficiencias, conocer a otros voluntarios hizo la estancia más agradable. Si te alojas en “The Central”, la experiencia será buena; en otra instalación no lo recomendaría.

This was my first WP experience, and I had a great time! I met a lot of amazing people and formed new friendships, and Faro is a nice city. I sometimes had to work at the other locations which was a nice change, and the lunch we had together was always good and nice to meet the other volunteers. The training could've been better. Often i was the only one working at a location without a manager or anything, which made it sometimes more difficult. Because of this you sometimes have to learn by making mistakes.

I stayed together with a friend at the central guesthouse. At first we were in a room for four people with two other girls, which was a bit crowded but after asking if two of us could use another room there was no problem. The rooms are pretty simple but a nice size. There were a few small things like rust in the showers (bring flip flops!) & no working oven, schedules only come out at 1 in the night before working, but nothing dramatic. The work is easy and the lunch & the people there were great!

+made friends🥰, +amazing lunch everyday!! (and always a veggie option for me!🙏)&good equipment in the kitchen,+ I could work independently -hostel itself is not as social as I thought bcs the other volunteers where in general more older & minded more there own business, a few didn't spoke good English or just a bit -volunteer rooms, bathrooms where old and partly really broken (showers) -felt like I didn't get all important infos in the training, so I learned by mistakes&time, there was mostly a lot work to do(cleaning shift),felt alone with problems bcs mostly worked alone in the shift

I wanted to share some feedback on my experience. And i hope this feedback is helping moving forward. The space has potential but the atmosphere was disappointing. There wasn't much a volunteer vibe, as many people seemed tired and disconnected. I believe there should be more responsible people doing more guidance for volunteers focusing on collaborating rather than just responsibilities. The lack of group connection and empathy affects the experience.

A vibe realmente melhorou muito desde que foram e de 5 pessoas que vinham para o vosso almoço, triplicou imediatamente no dia que sairam ...coincidência certamente ou não ...como te disse pessoalmente às vezes o problema não está nos outros, mas em nós, neste caso realmente há a possibilidade de o problema estar em mim, mas estatisticamente se 99% das pessoas gostam e os comentários são bons e as expêriencias boas, depois 1% não ... tirem as vossas conclusões.

Viajo o mundo há 2 anos e voluntários há 6 meses, conhecendo culturas e pessoas e essa NÃO é uma experiência de ajuda voluntária!🚩 Quando me impus contra limpar 8 quartos, 1 apto, fazer almoço para 15 voluntários, viver em uma acomodação infestada de baratas e minhocas e lidar com a falta de responsabilidade e resolução de problemas do anfitrião com seu próprio trabalho(e muito mais) fui acusada de problemas mentais, mentirosa, histérica, que eu não fazia nada e que eu não era nada. Reforçando a falta de educação, habilidade de comunicação e propósito do que é trabalho voluntário. BIG🚩

Viajo o mundo (lol) Além de muitas outras coisas és mentirosa e as futuras experiências o confirmaram ... Foi acordado pagamento para o que te foi pedido e foi pedido ajuda para fazer com outra pessoa um apartamento e 4 quartos, o que recusaste e levou a outra pessoa a o fazer sozinha, por isso o que te pedi sei que não foi muito, está tua decisão conflituosa levou a que te convida-se a sair.o futuro o dirá ...já fui contactado pelo novo host para saber sobre várias situações sobre ti ...sem me alongar mais, recebam esta senhora e confirmaram o meu comentário, atenção tb relativa à segurança e mais não digo.
Basta ver a quantidade de voluntários recebidos e satisfeitos e a quantidade de gente que terá o sucesso que semea na vida.

If your searching for ways to travel longterm in affordable ways this is the perfect option for you. We were welcome from first second and got to know many different people. The daily work was not much to do so we had enough free time. We were able to travel a little bit around the citys next to Faro. We really liked it here and improved many skills and got to know Faro and their kind people.

Good place to volunteer in Faro. A lot of friendly people. You are usually working in a few places not in one.
